Rugby World Cup
« on: October 06, 2019, 02:32:05 PM »
A week and some in, it appears that the Anglo sphere teams, with the exception of a surprising Japanese team and the cellar dwelling United States, are poised to take this tournament. It's either the Irish or the Kiwis standing in the end. The English and Japs 'll round out the final four. Who you got?

I always pull for "Les Blues"; I don't know why; but they are usually in the mix. I remember sitting in a bar in a small village in Spain drinking beer and watching the "All Blacks" play England (if my memory is right; in the bar there was a Spaniard who was pulling for his "All Blacks"; an Englishman pulling for his team; and me all of us enjoying the match and drinking the beer. Sure is a great sport to watch.

"My brothers, all of you, if you are condemned to see the triumph of evil, never applaud it. Never say to evil: you are good; to decadence: you are progess; to death: you are life. Sanctify yourselves in the times wherein God has placed you; bewail the evils and the disorders which God tolerates; oppose them with the energy of your works and your efforts, your life uncontaminated by error, free from being led astray, in such a way that having lived here below, united with the Spirit of the Lord, you will be admitted to be made but one with Him forever and ever: But he who is joined to the Lord is one in spirit." "Les Blues" are another Eurocentric African team, like Namibia?
