If I understand it correctly, you get your rank (mine is Wachtmeister) based on the number of posts you make on SD. Is that correct? Is there a list of ranks posted somewhere, and how many posts it takes to get there?

This is what I have figured out so far.  Some one else is going to have to fill in the rest.  I didn't know what any of these titles meant until I just now looked them up.  To tell you the truth I'm not too pleased with some of the titles.  For instance, a search for Vizekorporal brings up Schutzmannschaft, which is not just a German army rank, but a Nazi German army rank.  What to heck Kaesekopf? 

Hellebardier - halberd-bearers.  0 to ? posts

Vizekorporal - "protective, or guard units"; collaborationist auxiliary police.  ? to ? posts.

Korporal - the lowest rank of the non-commissioned officers group.  ? to ? posts.

Wachtmeister - 'watch-master', guard duty.  ? to 1500 posts.

Oberst = Kaesekopf
Oberstleutnant = The moderators
Kaplan = (Vacant unless we get a priest)
Major = 10000+
Hauptmann = 5000-10000
Feldwebel = 1500-5000
Wachtmeister = 500-1500
Korporal = 250-500
Vizekorporal = 100-250
Hellebardier = 0-100
