INTRODUCTIONSister Maria Natalia of the Sisters of St. Mary Magdelene was born in 1901 near Pozsony,in present Slovakia. Her parents were craftsmen of German origin. As a youngster, shelearned German and Hungarian and, and later French. She received the messages inHungarian. Her life is full of historical and political events, since she lived during most ofthe 20th century. She died on April 24, 1992, in the odor of sanctity.From an early age she clearly perceived her religious vocation and at seventeen sheentered the convent of Pozsony. At thirty three, she was sent by her superiors to Belgium,where she returned shortly thereafter due to becoming ill, and she returned to Hungary, hermother country, where she lived in the convents of Budapest and Keeskemet.
