This is an excellent talk by Sheykh Omar Suleiman on the issues of public image, reputation, self-esteem and insecurity in modern society. Very well delivered. As expected, the good sheykh makes ample references to Islamic tradition and the examples of the Prophet and his companions, bringing to light many rich aspects of Islam that are often obscured or distorted by petty rhetoric and polemics. While I understand that some of you might not feel motivated to hear a thirty minute talk by a Muslim cleric, I nevertheless recommend it given that this topic is relevant to any man of faith and good will. Indeed, as the French girl says in story at the end of the video: "If being beautiful in the sight of the creator, means being ugly in the sight of the creation, then it's worth it."
