Chechnya: Republic of Contrasts. High fashion, Celebrity Parties and Sharia Law

We explore Chechnya, a republic of contrasts, and look at how the Chechen people have struck a balance between tradition and modernity. Russia’s Republic of Chechnya has undergone a revival after two military operations in its recent post-Soviet history. Today, the region is home one of the largest mosques in Europe, hosts international celebrities and even is trying its hand at high fashion. We explore this republic of contrasts to look at how the Chechen people have struck a balance between tradition and modernity.

Interesting, I'll look, but it has been reported that not everyone there likes the aggressive imposition of sharia and I'd suspect Ramzan Kadyrov is not someone to run against or be against in any sense. I hope he found his missing cat.
Padre Pio: Pray, hope, and don't worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer.
