Brouhaha at Steubenville: a professor demoted
« on: January 18, 2019, 11:34:11 AM »
Most people here have known for some time about Steubenville and its history whether it is being a center for the Scott Hahn and/or charismatic Catholic types, most of whom are usually hostile to Traditional Catholicism. But the latest fiasco there has uncovered a whole other kettle of fish that makes the former seem reasonable by comparison. Not to worry though because the Professor Lewis' and Weiss' types will always get a platform on Patheos to spread their bilge and label their critics who actually believe in what the Church teaches and professes "right wingers"; a hallmark of left wingers.

Lewis and those he attempted to promote are on the outs, but the president is still there and by all accounts, he's the one behind FUS moving the way it is, seeking a bishop's miter.  As long as he's there, I doubt anything will fundamentally change.  Everything like demoting Lewis is window dressing to keep up appearances for the gutless Newman Guide.
