Merry Christmas! We usually celebrate quite a bit on Christmas eve. We already opened presents and started on the cookies and candy.  ;D

My prayers for all of you.  :pray2:

"My brothers, all of you, if you are condemned to see the triumph of evil, never applaud it. Never say to evil: you are good; to decadence: you are progess; to death: you are life. Sanctify yourselves in the times wherein God has placed you; bewail the evils and the disorders which God tolerates; oppose them with the energy of your works and your efforts, your life uncontaminated by error, free from being led astray, in such a way that having lived here below, united with the Spirit of the Lord, you will be admitted to be made but one with Him forever and ever: But he who is joined to the Lord is one in spirit." Merry and Blessed Christmas to all at Suscipe Domine.  May the Mighty God who condescended to become man save us from our sins!
I love Thee, Jesus, my love.  Grant me the grace to love Thee always, and do with me what Thou wilt.

Merry 2nd day of Christmas!

If I am not in the state of grace, may God put me there; and if I am, may God so keep me

Merry 2nd day of Christmas!
In G.Britain its "Boxing day"; this is traditionally the day gifts are exchanged. In Latin Countries, its the Epiphany.

Happy Feast of St. Stephen!

Good King Wenceslas looked out
On the feast of Stephen
When the snow lay round about
Deep and crisp and even
Brightly shone the moon that night
Though the frost was cruel
When a poor man came in sight
Gath'ring winter fuel

"Hither, page, and stand by me
If thou know'st it, telling
Yonder peasant, who is he?
Where and what his dwelling?"
"Sire, he lives a good league hence
Underneath the mountain
Right against the forest fence
By Saint Agnes' fountain."

"Bring me flesh and bring me wine
Bring me pine logs hither
Thou and I will see him dine
When we bear him thither."
Page and monarch forth they went
Forth they went together
Through the rude wind's wild lament
And the bitter weather

"Sire, the night is darker now
And the wind blows stronger
Fails my heart, I know not how,
I can go no longer."
"Mark my footsteps, my good page
Tread thou in them boldly
Thou shalt find the winter's rage
Freeze thy blood less coldly."

In his master's steps he trod
Where the snow lay dinted
Heat was in the very sod
Which the Saint had printed
Therefore, Christian men, be sure
Wealth or rank possessing
Ye who now will bless the poor
Shall yourselves find blessing
I love Thee, Jesus, my love.  Grant me the grace to love Thee always, and do with me what Thou wilt.
