2. He and his fellow band member were the anti-heroes of the 70's, musically speaking
3. French director who was great at incorporating the faith into his movies
5. comedian with a zoology degree
6. one of the most recorded jazz bassists of all time
8. leader of the second Viennese school of composers
9. wrote a piece using only 1 note(and it sounds pretty great considering)
10. was in a group with the same name as the head from 11
11. original bass player for one of the most successful bands of all time
13 and 27 are both illustrators

googling "BB King" and seeing his pic is 100% fine. No reverse image searching though, as it will literally give you the answer

ETA: You could even google things from my hint and come up with the response, I think  ;)

30 ironically shared a last name with the other man that got credit for something he came up with a couple hundred years before
33 was probably the smartest woman of the middle ages
35 was the earliest proponent of a concept that chemistry is built on
36 is one of 2 people to win 2 nobel prizes in the same category. he also invented gene sequencing
38 is an outsider that changed the way people thought about baseball
39 is an actor known primarily for 2 Orson Welles movies
40 is a computer scientist/mathematician that was so distrustful of authority that he invented methods of sharing secrets between parties
