FS: The Spiritual Life, Tanqueray
« on: November 01, 2015, 03:37:32 PM »
Over at eBay, someone (not me) is selling a hardcover copy of The Spiritual Life by Fr A Tanqueray for $15 and then $4 shipping.  Pretty cheap compared to TAN's new reprint retailing at $49 (or $10 at Amazon for Kindle version, but still!).

Sometimes PDF just doesn't cut it...

Or at least, that's what I tell myself!

Yes, I  simply cannot make notes on the back pages of my computer, as I can with my hard copy; plus my books will never be phased out by changes in technology, and will  outlive me. Give me hard copy books or give me death! (or something like that).
"The World Must Conform to Our Lord and not He to it." Rev. Dennis Fahey CSSP

"My brothers, all of you, if you are condemned to see the triumph of evil, never applaud it. Never say to evil: you are good; to decadence: you are progess; to death: you are life. Sanctify yourselves in the times wherein God has placed you; bewail the evils and the disorders which God tolerates; oppose them with the energy of your works and your efforts, your life uncontaminated by error, free from being led astray, in such a way that having lived here below, united with the Spirit of the Lord, you will be admitted to be made but one with Him forever and ever: But he who is joined to the Lord is one in spirit." Cardinal Pie of Potiers

 "the back pages of my computer"! I was once extremely anti-ebook, too. Anti-computer, come to that. Then it came down to a choice: read with a magnifying glass, or capitulate.
