Let the good times roll!  (even though it's Lent)   :patriot:

Glückwünsche und gabahag, mein guten Hauptmann!

But you must not retire.  No.  You are now in the élite d'élite.  The top five.  And nobody gets to the top just to rest on their laurels.  No lion calls it quits after his 5,000th gazelle.  You need to keep posting like a lion needs to keep eating.  Bonaventure, however, remains the only pure Hauptmann (no administrative title, no cumbersome membership in St. Joseph's Workbench or Mary Garden).  Just "Hauptmann."  No extra words around to clutter it up.  So he's got you beat on that score.  This makes him the most leonine of the Hauptmanns.  And he's ahead of you in the standings.  But you have the higher post-per-day rate.  Don't get cocky, though: Jayne is in the hunt, too.  There is no poster quite like Jayne.  Kid Rock has a song boasting about himself to that effect, but the title is too profane to reproduce here.  (And just for the record, I emphatically do not like Kid Rock.  Still better than Sufjan Stevens, though).  Anyway, it's shaping up to be an exciting race to Major.  Go for the gold, Chester!

(Boo-yow).

Excellent!
In conclusion, I can leave you with no better advice than that given after every sermon by Msgr Vincent Giammarino, who was pastor of St Michael’s Church in Atlantic City in the 1950s:

“My dear good people: Do what you have to do, When you’re supposed to do it, The best way you can do it,   For the Love of God. Amen.”

I predict that Chestertonian will make it to Major before either Bonaventure or I do.

My health has noticeably improved lately.  If this continues, it means that I will be spending more time on housework and other activities and less online.  I expect to make fewer and fewer posts as I adjust to my new lifestyle.
