When I saw this thread I remembered a quote from a legendary poster at another forum. I'll let you all guess as to who it is.  ;D

"BAH!!! All this bad talkin mel!
BAH!
How is hoping to be a better father to this new baby make him a bad person? Tryin to figure this out. Was he a bad father to the other 7? As far I know his marriege was on the rocks for years. Not like his wife offered him anything to save it. He was the bnst thing she ver got. She was a nurse or something now she's filthy rich. Also I nderstand where he is comming from. My marriege was on trhe rocks too and not for a decade or more. If I was saduced by a drop dead smokin ukrainian underwear model I doubt I'd have the strength to resist. Yeah that might sound bad but the truth hurts.
Mel is a good guy. Even his naughty behavoir with the saductress still is nothing compared what I went through me pa. If me pa braught home a smokin lass like that I'd forgive him. Though me mam would brutally beat her sensless
Sip
That's another story
Mels. Films are great. Mad max! Bounty! Passion, apoalyptco! We were solders! Lethal weapons
GREAT!!!
Keep it up mel!!
SIP"
Ha! Priceless.  Who is this legendary poster?

DK.
The world is charged with the grandeur of God.
    It will flame out, like shining from shook foil;
    It gathers to a greatness, like the ooze of oil
Crushed. Why do men then now not reck his rod?
Generations have trod, have trod, have trod;
    And all is seared with trade; bleared, smeared with toil;
    And wears man's smudge and shares man's smell: the soil
Is bare now, nor can foot feel, being shod.

And for all this, nature is never spent;
    There lives the dearest freshness deep down things;
And though the last lights off the black West went
    Oh, morning, at the brown brink eastward, springs —
Because the Holy Ghost over the bent
    World broods with warm breast and with ah! bright wings.

I think you may be on to something. It always struck me as odd as to how he could take the damning of evidence and attempt to explain in away. It centers nicely with your post about paid shills.

Haha, wow.

Basically, it says 'never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.'  Or you can replace the last adjective with 'ignorance' and similar terms.
