Title: Silence in the Forest
Post by: Katyn on December 31, 2012, 06:34:39 PM
The movie Katyn was produced in Poland, and does incredible justice to the memories of the 20,000 soldiers massacred in forest of Katyn. If one watches the whole thing, there is a very poignant Catholic feeling. The movie's soundtrack is taken mostly from the work's of Penderecki's Polish Requiem.

This is the final scene, and what is beautiful about the tragedy is that the final words pronounced are prayers. You don't see that often in cinema.

This is the trailer:

The whole movie available on Youtube with English subtitles..... It gives a little bit of insight, I think, to this story... (  Which explains some interesting details in regards to the Smolensk plane crash.
