Begun in 1980 and assembled by hundreds of volunteer stitchers, these panels depict England's colonizing efforts in the New World from Newfoundland to Bermuda, 1583-1642. These days the tapestry resides in the Bristol City Museum and is no longer on public display. It can be viewed in it's entirety in a series of videos averaging 5 minutes or so, perfect for todays Internet attention spans. It's narrated by Tom Mor the tapestry's designer.
