Do people camp out at these events? What is the etiquette for Ordination Weekend?
Is anyone else planning on coming on the July 7? They are not serving a buffet this year. Would people be bringing their own food and wine?
Apparently some people are going to camp rather than stay at a hotel and the seminary is okay with it but I would call the seminary office to be sure.
Thanks Dymphnaw--exactly what I was wondering. We had to leave early so no time to ask anyone at the mission chapel this morning.
Looking at the pictures of this at the SSPX site, it looks like a non-SSPX bishop was in choir. Does anyone have any info on this?

The pictures are beautiful :D I hope they post more. The Bishop you mentioned is in the 2nd row, right? I hope someone from the forum can share with us the name of the Bishop :) I have no idea. Welcome to the forum. God bless.

It looks somewhat like the local bishop. His name is Francis X. DiLorenzo.

I agree, it looks like him. And I believe he is friendly to tradition, so it makes sense.
I wonder if he is there because we are close to an agreement of the SSPX with Rome, or is it more because he is friendly to tradition.
Do you know if a local Bishop has been invited to ordinations before?
No idea who he is, or if he is even a bishop, but I knew I had seen him in an ordination video before - so I went and found it.
Go to 4:14 of this video from last years ordinations. Pretty certain it is the same priest. [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGqNsWZPbtU[/yt]
Agreed. Looks like the same person. Now, who is he...? I hope someone knows!

Thanks for the video :) Now, I noticed 2 different ones in the video that I did not recognize. One is thinner than the one at 4:14. What is the name of the one in the middle of the video/picture prior to clicking on it? Thanks for your help :)
The person in the still photo before clicking is Bp. Tissier.

Now, hopefully someone can tells us about the other Bishop in the choir section.
It would really be weird if there have been NO bishops attending the SSPX ordinations all these years...

Proof the SSPX sold out to Rome ages ago and are keeping up appearances to sway the hardliners.

How would the SSPX explain the presence of the local Bishop or NO Bishop to the people attending the ordinations. If we noticed him in the pictures, I am sure that the people in attendance noticed as well. And it seems that this is not the first time. The pictures are from 2017 & the video posted above is from 2016. This is a bit confusing to me.
Bp. Fellayhas noted often the complete chaos in the N.O. for the past several years. I met a priest at the Ordinations the other day who said he is from the Diocese of Richmond. He was clearly very, very interested in a good way. Can't remember his name.
In Cincinnati, there was a N.O. Monsignor who always came to the Midnight Mass.
Anyway, more proof of the Sell Out. :cheeseheadbeer:

The person I was trying to identify is Chorbishop Anthony Spinosa of Our Lady of Lebanon Shrine.

What does that mean? What's a chorbishop?
It's an Eastern Catholic title. Seems to be an archpriest sort of rank -- not actually a bishop. Akin to a monsignor, maybe.
This person is a Maronite; hence the peculiar choir dress.
See wiki: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chorbishop
Seems this person is friendly to tradition. He's speaking at the upcoming Catholic Identity Conference: https://remnantnewspaper.com/web/index.php/register-catholic-identity-conference-2017
I am almost certain that Fr. Scott Gardner of the SSPX attended Fr. Anthony Spinosa's elevation to chorbishop in 2016. Fr. Gardner is the bald priest.
