A Romanced Joy

A Romanced Joy,

I see that you are new to the forum.  Welcome.  Why don't you fill out the form in the coffee & donuts section to let us know a little about you.  You have certainly come in with guns-a-blazin or a bone to pick early on; so perhaps you could relax a moment, back up, and tell us about yourself?!

I'm following Lydia Purpuraria's suggestion:

What brings you to SD? Interest in the old tridentine mass and other disciplines of the Church.
Are you a member of other Internet fora? Not applicable.
Why did you choose your username and avatar? I'm a romantic by nature. The joy that I feel when I'm close to Our Lord and Our Lady is almost as if romanced, if I dare say it.
What is your state of life - single, married, religious, or still discerning? Single.
Whereabouts do you live "in real life"? I'd rather keep it private.
Personality type? INFP.
Favorite books? Biographies of the Saints and Romance Novels (Wuthering Heights, The Notebook, A Knight in Shining Armor, etc.)
Favorite movies? Not applicable.
Favorite TV shows? Not applicable.
Favorite sports/teams? Not applicable.
Have any hobbies? I tend to order my daily life around spiritual goals. I enjoy self-mortification, it is when I feel closer to God.
Pet peeves: People that pray the rosary too quickly. One cannot rush things with one's mother.
Fun random fact about yourself: I don't have much of a sense of humor.

Welcome.
Do you have a primary devotion--other than to Our Lady, of course--to St. Therese of Lisieux?

"My brothers, all of you, if you are condemned to see the triumph of evil, never applaud it. Never say to evil: you are good; to decadence: you are progess; to death: you are life. Sanctify yourselves in the times wherein God has placed you; bewail the evils and the disorders which God tolerates; oppose them with the energy of your works and your efforts, your life uncontaminated by error, free from being led astray, in such a way that having lived here below, united with the Spirit of the Lord, you will be admitted to be made but one with Him forever and ever: But he who is joined to the Lord is one in spirit."
