Is there anybody here who was leading a seriously sinful life, who turned their act around and now leads a holy sacramental life? I need to know because I'm in serious danger of going to Hell, and I need clear direct instructions from qualified individuals on how to turn that around. Most priests I talk to are the type who believe God would never send someone to Hell, and the ones who do know the real risks only seem to have a message for Catholics who are already living holy sacramental lives and have absolutely nothing to worry about.

The main reason I made an account here was because I am genuinely terrified of never changing and going to Hell. If I came to the wrong place, please let me know and I'll gladly stop bothering all the perfect people with my presence. Have a nice day!

Have you talked to a traditional priest? Here is a good directory:

Yes, several, and as I originally stated they have no message for people like me, they're only trying to talk to good Catholics who don't have anything to worry about in terms of their eternal destiny

However this is the first time I've seen this directory, I will start contacting priests from this list as soon as I'm done with this reply. Thank you.

You and only you have to decide to stop sinning. If you think you can attach yourself to sin and attain a level of sanctity necessary for salvation, you are wrong. If you have detached from all sin and frequent the Sacraments, don't worry.

Start saying the rosary every day. St. Alphonsus says it's impossible to say the rosary every day and continue in a life of sin. Either you stop sinning, or you stop praying. Really meditate on the mysteries.

Please clarify what you mean when you say "talk to priests."  Spiritual direction? Or have you gone to confession?  Absolution is your best friend, and that goes for everyone here, not just you.  We're all sinners worthy of God's condemnation but for His mercy.

It seems you have awareness of living a sinful life and must know the sins. First of all, you go to confession and stop doing those sins. Pray and do a lot of fasting. Those are very general terms which you stated here in the forum. Be specific. Are you living with someone who is not your wife or husband? If you have no legal impediment and you want that person, marry each other in the Catholic Church. Stop fornicating. I agree with those that suggest that you pray the Holy Rosary. Attend the Holy Mass everyday and go to confession every week. Stop sinning. You know it so you can stop it.

I don't really know what you are saying but first things first, stop doing the sins you are aware of and you know that.

Are you Catholic?

If so, go to confession and remember this line of the Act of Contrition (at least the one that I say):

"I firmly resolve, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life. Amen."

I do not know about "seriously sinful life," but I and likely 99% of us here have committed mortal sins and would be damned, were it not for the confessional.

Take it easy. Confess, do good, avoid evil.

I learned about the occasions of sin and started avoiding them which helped me. If it means cutting certain entertainment, people in your life, habits, etc. Ultimately, it's up to you to have the self-discipline to not sin. Also, doing a daily examination of conscience is good.

Don't think you should talking to the forum owner like that, as a guest in his forum.
