I am inquiring into Catholicism and am hoping this forum can help me get past my lingering difficulties.

Hi Khalid, Welcome. I'm wondering what draws you to Catholicism, and also what parts you are unsure about. God bless you for reaching out.

I've been reading Catholic writings and theological material for several years, and I am drawn to Catholicism because I find the evidences, miracles, fulfilled prophecies, and arguments in favor of it very credible and reasonable; the positive case for Catholicism is much stronger than the one for Islam. However when I examine the Church as she currently exists it seems undeniable to me that the dogma of indefectibility was empirically falsified at Vatican II and especially in 1969 when the New Mass was promulgated. When I have more free time I'll make a thread in the Sacred Sciences subforum detailing my particular difficulties. God willing I'll be able to get over this hurdle and take the plunge so to speak.

Great Video; I also looked up  Gen Khalid; he was indeed brilliant; he deserves a very high ranking.
"The World Must Conform to Our Lord and not He to it." Rev. Dennis Fahey CSSP

"My brothers, all of you, if you are condemned to see the triumph of evil, never applaud it. Never say to evil: you are good; to decadence: you are progess; to death: you are life. Sanctify yourselves in the times wherein God has placed you; bewail the evils and the disorders which God tolerates; oppose them with the energy of your works and your efforts, your life uncontaminated by error, free from being led astray, in such a way that having lived here below, united with the Spirit of the Lord, you will be admitted to be made but one with Him forever and ever: But he who is joined to the Lord is one in spirit." Thank you Khalid for your thoughtful response. I'm recovering from minor surgery and am not able to respond right now, but in bringing up Vatican II, you have pinpointed the reason many of us no longer attend the New Mass, or Novus Order Mass. Instead we attend the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, also called the Traditional Latin Mass or TLM. We are faithful to the truths which have been handed down to us. We reject the novelties of V2, which include chagning the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass which gives the greates honor to God and bestows grace. The V2 NO mass is not focused on Almight God, but is focused on the community. Instead of a sacrifice, it is a Meal." Instead of a Holy Sacrifice, it is a mish-mash of Protestantism and the whims of the "presider." We will be praying for you. God bless you.

Hi Khalid,
A thread in Sacred Sciences sounds like a great idea. Maybe take one difficulty at a time so it can be addressed before moving onto the next one.
God Bless You

p.s. Oops! I just saw that you've already been discussing Indefectability.
