Pet Peeves...   ...bite their nails, or who have poor hygeine in general

American men are expected to possess those traits so only American women complain about them.

Ah, that makes perfect sense; I grew up in a household where things like that just did not fly at all. My mother was all over us when it came to hygiene, table manners, etc. Recently, I rented my guest bedroom to a Spanish college kid and you'd think he was raised by wolves - so these pet peeves have been moving steadily higher up the list!
