A nice introductory lecture from Dr. Eric Cline on the mysterious Bronze Age civilisational collapse. Cline is a fairly well-known archeologist and author probably most famous for his excavations at Megiddo from 1994 to 2014.

The lecture briefly touches on the causes for the collapse of ~1186 BC, the elusive Sea Peoples, and the extensive trade network that connected many of the polities in the Eastern Mediterranean and Near East during the Late Bronze Age.

Notice Pharaoh Akhenaton at 2:00. The elongated face can be indicative of Marfan Syndrome. Some people think Abe Lincoln had the same condition.

Hmm... interesting idea. Truth be told, I always just assumed the elongated face was a stylistic device, sort of like how the Romans always depicted their slaves as though they were 3 feet tall in mosaics and sculptures.
