At least we didn't have priests or Protestant ministers of religion arrested on the road like in Canada. A fine was imposed on a Cavan priest, but blood will sooner be drawn from a stone, and no effort was made to collect.

May 10th a so called lifting of restrictions...upto 50 in church at one time and of course HSE has advised 'no communion on the tongue'.

We were in lockdown from Dec 26th to May 10th....it was tough and I never stopped gallivanting so what was it like for the covid ninnies.

Both instances in Canada were Church of God churches that are affiliated with a mega church in California, the first one in Alberta and the other in Aylmer, Ontario.  I don't agree with the authorities coming down on the churches but these two were asking for it.  Recently in Aylmer they counted 120 cars in the parking lot when the restriction only allowed 10 people at a time.  It was the same with the one in Alberta.

Yeah, seems to me the more the merrier. Smaller gatherings are easy to disperse for a couple cops, who would rather not leave the safety and anonymity of their cars.

People in Canada that are complying with the restrictions to get rid of covid have gotten to be pretty fed up with people like these Church of God characters (that don't receive Holy Communion) and people that organize large protests against the lockdowns, and people throwing parties and particularly against Trudeau who is doing nothing about covid being spread by both international and domestic air travel.  It's like Trudeau and these other characters are defeating the purpose of the majority that are complying with the restrictions.  If you really truly think covid is a hoax then you are day dreaming.  It's time to wake up now.

Maybe the time is coming when those of us who refuse the abortion-tainted vaxxx will be hauled away to re-education camps, and others (obediently vaxxxed) will say "they were asking for it".

Bill Gates and others have seen how populism has eroded their grasp, so a reassertion of authority is in order, to their way of thinking. COVID is useful. Variants can be endlessly claimed if the authorities want to extend lockdown.

Well that's an assumption in itself, is it not.  I guess we'll never know for certain with so many not complying with the restrictions eh.  Thinking back, it was those nutbar sovereign citizens that first organized protests to the restrictions, and the morons were packin ak's at the time too.
