If Covid is real disease then lockdown is a response made in most of the rest of the world.  Most countries claim to be doing this to stop their hospitals being overwhelmed.

There is a virus spreading which hospitalises people of a certain demographic. We know this is true because we know people who have gone into hospital.  If you let the virus rip then you would likely have full hospital wards.  Since growth of a virus is not linear, the authorities have to be careful as they see hospitalisations spike higher.

In reality the lock down does not mean much.  Public transport is still working and Muscovites moving around I suspect.

It is not like the Australian lockdown.

Well ours started out as two weeks to flatten the curve!!

Putin has a fan base in trad land that along with Trump, he does not deserve. Both very successful at fake conservatism from their ivory towers.  The funny thing is Russians and Americans won't comply the same way the rest of the world but particularly western Europe will.

Vladimir Putin rules Russia in a sort of coalition of the military and administrative class, Christian, Moslem, agnostic, commanding a bureaucracy and nationalised industries, a portion of the old nomenklatura, while another portion, generally Talmudic, lawyerly, own so many of the big privately owned industrial and commercial concerns. At least with Putin there is no public encouragement of degeneracy, in particular the transgender cult, and there is no malevolence towards portions of the population. Bidenites (and equivalents throughout the West) have a visceral hatred of white Christians, want to replace them ethnically, and hate the idea that parents have authority over how children are educated (see Virginia). No world leader should ever be idolised, but some are not as bad others. That's how I see it.
