Wolf Children. I found it on archive.org. Dubbed, but better than nothing.

Is it in German?
No, it's originally in Japanese, but dubbed into English.
My Lord and my God.

Philip G.

I watched gone with the wind basically for the first time last night. I have memories watching it as a young child, but do not remember what it was about.  And, long story short, I hated it.  I turned it off with about 20 minutes left I would say.  I can only take so much of bi-polar sociopathic money loving dramas.  I knew the moment scarlett's father died jumping the fence that I hated the film.  I turned it off after the husband of scarlett took her child off to europe.  I don't know the ending, and I am so glad.

i hated that movie, too, although I loved the book.

Watched Mrs. Doubtfire on the weekend. The antics were great, but the ending with its praises of divorce was sucktastic.

That's a desensitization psy op movie.

It took 5 or 6 Roman midgets to take down that Barbarian with the morgenstern who looked like(and dresses thus). The movie sucked after that.

I didn't realize this as a kid but now it's plainly obvious. It could have very easily been a 100% moral movie of a man whose children get taken away due to no fault divorce laws. But they had to add-in the sodomites and the prevailing "wisdom" on divorce. I won't be letting my future children watch it, which is sort of a shame because most of it is good and it's filmed locally.

If attending Mass, the ordinary form as celebrated everyday around the world be sinful, then the Church no longer exists. Period.
Rather, if the NOM were the lex credendi of the Church, then the Church would no longer exist. However, the true mass and the true sacraments still exist and will hold the candle of faith until Our Lord steps in to restore His Bride to her glory.
We could compare ourselves to the Catholics in England at the time of the Reformation. Was it sinful for them to attend Cranmer's service?
We have to remind ourselves that all the machinery of the "Church" continued in place. They had priests, bishops, churches, cathedrals. But all of them were using the new "Book of Common Prayer" instead of the Catholic Mass. Ordinary lay people could see with their own eyes an enormous entity that called itself the "Church," but did the true Church still exist in that situation? Meanwhile, in small hiding places in certain homes were a handful of true priests offering the true Mass at the risk of imprisonment, torture and death.

You missed the best part:

Sorry but the nerd in me considers the ending one of the most emotional in cinema history.

My wife couldn't stand Scarlett either, until I explained to her that the audience is supposed to loathe her.  The fact that it creates such a strong reaction means the actress is doing her job, she's not supposed to be a sympathetic character.

I loathed every character except mammy and Ashley's wife, except even she had her cringe moment when Ashley is putting his foot down about moving away to one get away from the blood sucker that is scarlett, and start again/find work in a different city, both of which are duties of his as a husband.  But, then psycopath scarlett starts fake crying, and Ashley's wife comes in to comfort her and side with her against her husband.  It was a damnable moment.  It was a wretched film I say! I hate it, I hate it, I hate it.
