Had dinner with a trad priest. Talked about a lot, including the trad "resistance" out here in the early days (60s, 70s).

Ice fishing.  Reeled in a nice 26" whitefish.
Son, when thou comest to the service of God, stand in justice and in fear, and prepare thy soul for temptation.

I'm on an all-expenses-paid weekend trip to a ridiculously cute boutique hotel in Palm Springs. The family I've been babysitting for since college brought me along for a wedding.

Me and my friend were playing truth or dare.

I dared him to dress up in his best suit and a bowler hat and umbrella, and walk into the Royal Bank of Scotland.

And in the most serious face possible, say to the cashier "I would like to invest tuppence safely in the bank please".

(In case you thought I was completely insane, it's a cultural reference, which at the time we believed was quite witty, if only the bank had seen it that way: )
