In conclusion, I can leave you with no better advice than that given after every sermon by Msgr Vincent Giammarino, who was pastor of St Michael's Church in Atlantic City in the 1950s:

"My dear good people: Do what you have to do, When you're supposed to do it, The best way you can do it,   For the Love of God. Amen"

Excellent choice Geremia. He was a bit of a character being a Cuban cigar smoking Franciscan and completely devoted to the Blessed Mother. As editor of Marian Studies  he had given play by play behind the scenes (egos clashing?) of the Pastoral Council -Vatican II Mariologists.  Rorate Caeli: https://rorate-caeli.blogspot.com/2012/09/our-lady-left-behind-marian-question-in.html. It was through perusing Marian Studies that one comes across little known gems such as the Mexican Bishops in V2 promoting the Divine Maternity of Mary which made all the privileges of Mary descend from Her Divine Maternity. http://ecommons.udayton.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1292&context=marian_studies

Hopefully someone will go to University of Dayton Marian Library research this topic and put a book on Our Lady and V2: Behind the Scenes. To my knowledge incredibly no one has yet done it.

At the center of this tug of war over Mary in V2 was Balic. Egos clashing, running around -give and take with Bishops, promoting one and settling for something else- it is a book waiting to be written.
