Thoughts? Not bad, imho. Hopefully, it will become at least 50,000+ in the next 5-10 years; and soon after that, God willing, it will be the majority of Bishops and Priests of the Roman/Latin rite who will offer the Holy Sacrifice in the Tridentine Rite. Comments?

"The number is an estimation, of course, made by Christian Marquant for the French liturgical association "Paix liturgique".

This number is reached with the following subgroups.

(1) Around 760 priests who belong to the Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX) and religious communities friendly to it.

(2) Around 600 priests from those communities previously called "Ecclesia Dei" (that is, those established regularly following the motu proprio Ecclesia Dei).

(3) Around 130 priests from religious communities that were never under the authority of the now-defunct "Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei" (for instance, the priests belonging to Fontgombault and its daughter-houses, or Norcia, etc).

(4) At least 3,000 diocesan priests (maybe up to 5,000, if one includes those who are very cautious because of their local bishops) who celebrate it regularly, even if not exclusively, including 1,000 at least in the United States: this is the Summorum Pontificum group, by far the largest.

Marquant adds: "Our 4,500 priests attached to the Traditional Mass (1500 "Trad" priests to which are added 3,000 diocesan or regular priests) represent at least 1.1% of the global Catholic clergy (or more, if we consider only the Latin Church priests, since it is a Latin liturgy, and if we would consider only active priests) who have remained or become Tridentine, which is far from being a ridiculous number if we consider that this identity was forbidden for a long time and remains widely persecuted. And, despite this, it is growing..."

Bible verses on walking blamelessly with God, after being forgiven from our former sins. Some verses here: https://dailyverses.net/blameless

"[2] He that walketh without blemish, and worketh justice:[3] He that speaketh truth in his heart, who hath not used deceit in his tongue: Nor hath done evil to his neighbour: nor taken up a reproach against his neighbours.(Psalm 14)

"[2] For in many things we all offend. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man."(James 3)

"[14] And do ye all things without murmurings and hesitations; [15] That you may be blameless, and sincere children of God, without reproof, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation; among whom you shine as lights in the world." (Phil 2:14-15)

I cannot resist making this comment:  it sounds like the spring time of the liturgy.

It's wonderful, isn't it. It augurs very well for the future of Tradition this generation and for the Triumph of the Church in the modern world. Bishop Fellay has confirmed many mainstream Bishops have discovered the power of the Traditional Liturgy and its happy effects on the Priests subject to them, how it confirms and strengthens them in the practice of their Faith, and increases their devotion as they offer Mass. When about 50,000 Priests worldwide (out of a total of around 425 K of Bishops and Priests together) begin to offer the Traditional Mass, hopefully, by 2030 say, Tradition will be in a very strong position going forward. Open liberals who reject Transubstantiation and other Catholic doctrines will soon find they have no zeal to continue anyway, and thus such orders will likely die off, or God willing, will come closer to Tradition. In France, it's estimated more than 50% of Priests may be from Traditional Orders in about 20 years from now. Though many challenges remain, things look good for the future of the Church. Prayer and Sacrifice will bring us to Victory. May God grant us Many Good Holy Bishops and Priests, and may our Shepherds and Apostles soon collectively re-discover all the Treasures of Tradition!

If it keeps going (which I think it will, because every normal young priest will find novus ordo at least boring and fad), then the next step will be the "reform of the reform". Which can be tough for SSPX because more people won't see the point with SSPX then. But SSPX priests will need to toughen up on Church discipline and corporeal works if they are to move peoples hearts. A true saint can only come from the ranks of SSPX..
