I was just being a smart ass, I literally know nothing about American politics  ;D

So, you were being a part of most of the American electorate?

I'm inclined to think that Trump's support among Catholics will soon begin to whither now that Canada has entered the race a promised to close Planned Parenthood centers and replace them with free daycares.

Help make America good again!

If that was at all possible I would encourage it.

If? If that were possible?!

Don't be such a pessimist.
Everybody loves Canada. He negotiates and has relations with a multitude of nations so he knows how to get stuff done. He's the only candidate capable of breaking through the bipolar gridlock in Washington. With an annual GDP of almost 2 trillion dollars he doesn't need lobbyist's money so he isn't beholden to any special interests.
He even got the United States to help defend his airspace and pay for a sizable portion of said defense (NORAD).

He's the only candidate who says he'll close PP abortuaries and replace them with daycares.
The choice is quite clear for me and others who value innocent life.

You could always move if Canada doesn't get elected. I'll sponsor your immigration.

Help make America good again!

Help make America more like what it was when it was still culturally piggy-backing off of pre-revolutionary Europe by means of the revolutionary ideals that got us here! #GOP2016

But Canada said he would close Planned Parenthood centers.
Who else is saying this?

You may get a lot of children aborted with this mindset, Louis.

Why let silly ideas get in the way of the almighty ???????

How Much Worse Could It Get? #GOP2016

Hilary could get elected. And appoint Bernie as her VP or Secretary of State. And then appoint Obama to the Supreme Court. I'd consider that worse.

Hilary got elected 8 years ago. Has it really changed anything? The judicial precedent has been set for abortion. Do you really think that the Supreme Court will overturn Roe v. Wade? With every passing year you become part of a dwindling minority who cares about abortion or gay marriage. In another decade or two, being anti-abortion will be like being anti-contraception.

The GOP has done nothing to stop or reverse the moral decline of the country. And that should not be surprising. What philosophical foundation do they have to combat secularism and relativism? Are they not supportive of the divorce between Church and State? Do they not push most strongly libertarianism and an ethic of "do what thou wilt as long as you don't affect someone else's ability to do what they wilt"? Do they not push religious pluralism via religious liberty?

The GOP can only pay lip service to Christianity. They can never actually legislate according to Christianity, can they?

Exactly.  But thinking pragmatically: at least with the GOP in power, we have the potential to slow this train wreck down.  That's better than nothing, though admittedly not much better.

Not part of the inner-circle I see. The CANurmabteilung will make America good again by force if his candidacy fails.
Thanks for the offer though!

Canada is too cold.
The world is charged with the grandeur of God.
    It will flame out, like shining from shook foil;
    It gathers to a greatness, like the ooze of oil
Crushed. Why do men then now not reck his rod?
Generations have trod, have trod, have trod;
    And all is seared with trade; bleared, smeared with toil;
    And wears man's smudge and shares man's smell: the soil
Is bare now, nor can foot feel, being shod.

And for all this, nature is never spent;
    There lives the dearest freshness deep down things;
And though the last lights off the black West went
    Oh, morning, at the brown brink eastward, springs —
Because the Holy Ghost over the bent
    World broods with warm breast and with ah! bright wings.

I love how, if the girl gets drunk of her own volition, has sex, once again, of her own volition, and she sobers up later, and regrets it, it's still considered rape.  Feminism is great, isn't it?

Eh.

The solution here is to not commit mortal sins.

Yeah, but let's be realistic.

I can promise you that even in the Age of Faith, people did the deed quite a bit.  Unlike today, they understood it was wrong and to some degree intended to to better tomorrow. Now we just don't care.

Or, many just use pornography as an outlet. St. Thomas suggested that the solitary vice was significantly worse than normal relations outlide of wedlock. Neither are good, per se.  But if you could ask our anscestors which is worse, letting things go too far with a young woman after a social event. Or staying shut in and masturbating to video of sex acts, I can assure youre that the lyter would be held in greater contempt.

So, normal men should not be in a situation in which a silly girl 'changes her mind' and cries rape. This is more feminist madness.

Polish Crusader is correct that this movement should be absolutey resisted and fought.

As an aside, Id suggest two things to young men reading this. Do a lot of manual labor or intense exercise 5-6 days a week. And find a hobby to really get into, eg woodworking, botany, stamp collecting, etc. These two things in addition to gainful employment will help direct natural energies into productive channels.

But do not take an indifferent additude to insane feminist things like 'I decided that I no nolnager consent after the past week.' If you do, you will find yourself in a society in which authentic marriage is impossible (hint, we're pretty close if not there.)

Let's be realistic?

No, how about we be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect.

No need to normalize and accept vice (of any flavor).

Political concerns and lawmaking has to take into account fallen nature.  That is why we are not a confessional state.

So, when laws governing the crime of rape attempt to re-define rape into something that it isn't, that is a serious issue.  And sticking the head in the sand claiming to be 'above the fray' is a serious and strategic mistake.

As I wrote, any society that would seriously suggest that a woman can change her mind after the fact whether consent was *really* given will be a society that effectively abolishes authentic marriage.

And, as I followed, we are pretty much their anyway.  The way our post-modern 'Western' institutions function, a man is at a serious disadvantage in the courts and the culture.

I closed with my suggestion for 'here and now, what can I do' solutions.  Take my posts in total, and not just excerpts of them.

I think you meant women's basketball. Canada vs USA in women's hockey is always intense.
