 INTRODUCTION:

The following interview with the Archbishop would have been published in 1978 in the Catholic Press had the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops not threatened the publication's publisher with excommunication and virtual extinction for the publication itself if the interview were run.. In fact, the bishops ordered that no Catholic publication could run this interview with Archbishop Lefebvre.
