Quite thorough.  Explains in detail moral standards and circumstances by which vaccine can be accepted. As importantly to me, however, is his agreement with me that Covid does not rise to the level of grave danger for the vast majority of the population.  (Brings up medical prudence as well, which several of us on SD have probably also discussed here.)

I saw that elsewhere.
I would never rush to take any new medication or treatment of any kind unless I were literally, at the time, on my deathbed, and there was some kind of possibility that this could renew my life, prolong it briefly so that I could say farewell to particular loved ones who were on the way or something.  Even then, such a treatment might hasten my death!

The fact remains:  Way too many priests -- I obviously do not know what percentage, but it is clearly a high percentage -- have adopted the non-Catholic perspective (of The World) that our bodily existence is more important than anything else.  It is not about a "lack of charity" for other human beings who supposedly might die from a virus, just as they might die from flu or pneumonia, by the way, or GBS, etc.  It's about God being in charge of life itself, despite the fact that He expects us to respect our lives and the lives of others.  He does not expect us to decide that we must control at all costs our own and other people's lives.  (They, and we, may die from an auto crash, a tree falling on us -- literally -- this has happened several times in my region in the recent past.)  It's arrogant to imagine that we even should try to control our dying.  If God does not want us or particular other people to die, we will not die because it will oppose His permissive will (assuming we cooperate with non-hysterical measures to preserve our lives).  If a priest or layperson does not believe that, then, I'm sorry, that person's faith is weak.

It is much more foolish and potentially life-threatening to enter into treatments and vaccines impulsively than to conserve one's life in a normal fashion.  The longer the time that passes, the less Covid will threaten the average person because fewer and fewer people will be active carriers, and the virus will not survive without sufficient hosts.

Good.  It's not mandatory here either.  Although I was just reading yesterday that Ontario has plans to issue vaccination cards.  Apparently we will need one to travel and go certain places like to movies and such.  A survey showed that just 54 percent were okay with it.  Another survey showed that 33 percent will refuse the vaccine.
