Pius XI and Marconi opening a new radio station, presumably Vatican radio. Imagine a time where where words from Rome reassured and supported the faith, that they were not words to dread or fear or cringe at. Pius XI erred badly with the Cristeros, but his holiness was a worthy Pope.

Heard a Malachi Martin interview this morning and he mentioned that the Church had lost a massive opportunity when it ignored computers and the computer age.  Said in prior times the Jesuits would have mastered computers and the internet and controlled some of the power.  Interesting that he saw that as far back as 1997.

Imagine for example if Facebook or TikTok was Catholic and people were posting that they went to mass and making videos about the lives of the saints.

Wonder how true that is.  The Church certainly made a big effort to reach the new world and form universities in the past.

Crowder spittin' facts, as usual.

Of Meyler McGrath, a Franciscan Friar made bishop of Down and Connor by Pius IV, apostatises on his return from Rome and manages to hold that for a time and hold something three Church of Ireland dioceses, including as Archbishop of Cashel, as a neglectful pluralist. While this supported the Catholic religion in a way as Protestant churches fell into ruin, Meyler McGrath was eventually deprived of his Catholic diocese. His wife, for he acquired a wife, remained a devout Catholic. She reminded him it was a sin to eat meat on Friday to which he responded it was a bigger sin to sleep with a Franciscan Friar. Lived to 100 and buried in now ruined Cashel cathedral, where his tomb may be seen to this day.

The video then raises some real problems.

1.  What they describe in the video is defecting by any other name.  The official church defects.  A remnant is left behind.  I don't see how that remnant stops "the Church" from defecting if defecting has any sort of meaning.  If we are going to play on words like that then it is OK for Fauci to re-define the words vaccine and vaccinated to mean whatever he wants them to mean.

As far as I understood it the visible Church and the hierarchy cannot defect.

2.  Sister Lucia approved of this same defected church.  We saw this in her June 2000 actions which were very clear signs of approval of JP2 who headed it up for 27 years.
