Pope Francis finally a pope who has time for exorcism.

I think if you want to be a man, then put on the spiritual armor and join your platoon.  But which pope did the most exorcism?  I read somewhere that one pope in the medieval ages went as far as initiating nightly demon chasing campaigns in the Vatican.  Do you know his name?  I can't find him through Google.  Now he is a real man.  Isn't he?

First time I've heard of this. Maybe you can track down the story and post it here, it would be interesting to read.
"The World Must Conform to Our Lord and not He to it." Rev. Dennis Fahey CSSP

"My brothers, all of you, if you are condemned to see the triumph of evil, never applaud it. Never say to evil: you are good; to decadence: you are progess; to death: you are life. Sanctify yourselves in the times wherein God has placed you; bewail the evils and the disorders which God tolerates; oppose them with the energy of your works and your efforts, your life uncontaminated by error, free from being led astray, in such a way that having lived here below, united with the Spirit of the Lord, you will be admitted to be made but one with Him forever and ever: But he who is joined to the Lord is one in spirit." Honorius is also purported to be the author of a grimoire.[11] "In this text called The Grimoire of Pope Honorius, he supposedly discusses the value of occult knowledge in the Church, and how by summoning or raising demonic entities, one could learn to control them. The supposed author uses his faith in God and mixes with it the teachings of King Solomon; it contains invocations of demonic entities for every day of the week. He talked about the priest needing to fast for a certain amount of time and the sacrifice of animals in order to help with the binding of evil spirits." [12] All this would be in contrast, however, with the pope's insistence on bishops knowing Catholic theology and as being contrary to the Catholic teaching on witchcraft or sorcery as also seen in both the Old and New Testaments and early Church councils (Catholic Encyclopedia, article "Witchcraft").

Quote
The Grimoire of Pope Honorius

Grimoire du Pape Honorius (1760)

The Grimoire of Pope Honorius, or Le Grimoire du Pape Honorius, is an 18th to 19th century grimoire, claiming to be written by Pope Honorius III (1150 - 1227). It is unique among grimoires in that it was specifically designed to be used by a priest, and some of the instructions include saying a Mass. While its name is derived from the 13th century Grimoire of Honorius, its content is closer to later grimories like the Key of Solomon and Grimorium Verum. [1]

The first edition of the Grimoire is said to have appeared in 1629, and was likely forged near the end of the sixteenth century, roughly nine hundred years after the death of its supposed author. According to A. E. Waite, "...t is a malicious and somewhat clever imposture, which was undeniably calculated to deceive ignorant persons of its period who may have been magically inclined, more especially ignorant priests, since it pretends to convey the express sanction of the Apostolical Seat for the operations of Infernal Magic and Necromancy."[2]

Besides the above article saying that The Grimoire of Pope Honorius is a fraud, there is no mention of it in the Catholic Encyclopedia, article "Witchcraft".

This happened a while ago, near the beginning of his pontificate; a video surfaced which showed the Pope laying his hands on a disabled individual for about 10 seconds, with the individual appearing to gasp and move strangely, with the Pope remaining motionless. Many people think the Pope performed an exorcism, but the Vatican denied the rumors, saying it was just a blessing. You can draw your own conclusions.

Pope John Paul II was suppose to have tried to exorcised a young lad at Rome too, although it didn't work and he was eventually exorcised by someone else, possibly Father Gabriele Amorth.  Nevertheless we can almost be guaranteed that neither had anything to do with "summoning or raising demonic entities".

Well at least Francis puts some real organizational work effort into putting this important apostolic church mission back on the map.

From the just-referenced article:

QuotePope Francis says that the only way to fight Satan is to "defend yourselves with the word of God" and not try to enter into dialogue or argue with the devil, who, he says, tries to seduce the weak.

No, Your Holiness.  This is wrong.  What a Protestant response.  The orthodox way for Catholics to defend against Satan is to stay in the state of grace through the Sacraments, available only through the Roman Catholic Church. Listen to any talk by a respectable traditionalist priest, whether or not he is an exorcist himself, and he will confirm that.  The "word of God" (the Bible) cannot do what the sacramental grace of Jesus Christ can do.

Disorder is the devil's invitation and opportunity, disorder through...

mortal sin, including hidden (unconfessed) grave sin
untreated mental illness
intimacy with the occult -- any form of the occult

Yes, but you may be cut out of the sacraments, for example if your parents are that 98 % of Europeans who reject the Church.  Then your next option is the Sword of the Word, along with the other pieces of the Armor, as described in the Epistolic Letters and taught by the Catholic Church, especially for deliverance masses.

The Pope has made a mistake, but unless he reviews Canon Law 404, he must take it into account, that the Church denies you the Sacraments almost always.  So whilst staying in the Grace via the Sacraments is the most secure way, it is simply not available to most people ho seek Christ and His Roman Church.
