I thought The Lord of the Rings was written for adults. That said, plenty of adults like fantasy as a genre.

No, I don't agree with Father Kopczynski's opinion on LOR. Your stone-heartedness towards his unjust treatment is a telling indictment of your deep, conflicted  character. Pity. As much as I liked
reading as a kid, I never found Tolkien to my liking, or that genre. What unsettles me is grown Catholic men obsessing over it as if the trilogy were dogma like still adolescents. It's not right, and I'm voicing that.
