I already read part of it in translated German. I reponded in Spanish to keep the theme romantic, I guess.

The response to Sanborn's "Ukraine" blog entry by the author of "Le nouveau bouc émissaire à l'occidentale":
QuoteBishop Sanborn, with all due respect, is a little off on certain key points here, for all the historical context he painstakingly retrieved and recounted in some details.
First of all, present-day Westernized (NATO-run) Ukraine is a completely fictitious patchwork of peoples (not that the peoples are fictitious, of course, but the national status of the Ukrainian entity is what one must call artificial). Properly speaking, it is not a sovereign state (a nation-state), as indicated by its very name, ???????, literally "peripheral," derived from ??????, literally "territory." A territory does not make a nation. Ukraine (???????) is technically a territory (??????) lacking the national cohesion of statehood and actual independent jurisdiction (sovereignty).
This objective fact of Ukraine's proper status being stated and recognized, it is difficult to subscribe to the idea that "Ukraine was a state long before Russia." In any case, objectively speaking it is a peripheral territory of Russia. As such, a buffer zone between Russia and the other countries on the other side of Ukraine (Slovakia, Poland, Sweden).
Historically, Ukraine has been a Russian territory since the 17th century (not the 18th century). Cossack nationalism arose at the time of the Cossack Hetmanate (erroneously seen today, by projection, as a Cossack "Ukrainian state"). The kind of ultranationalism current NATO-backed Ukraine has been applying to separatist "subhuman" Russian populations in Eastern Ukraine derives from historical narratives born in the course of the 20th century with the rise of newly imposed collective beliefs seeking to antagonize Ukrainian animus against Russia.
In the 1920s, Dmytro Dontsov (1883 - 1973) promoted nationalism (writing a manifesto so titled) along the lines of the first impulses of national socialism in Germany, demonizing "Asian Russia," and promoting a "new man" (a Ukrainian "superman"), similar to Hitler's master (Aryan) race and resonating with the latter's own theory of "untermenschen" (sub-humans). This doctrine, very much alive in the poisoned minds of the various neo-Nazi factions joined to the armed forces of the Atlanticist Kiev regime, has been an integral part of what the Western engineers of the color revolutions leading up to the 2014 Euromaidan events and subsequent Ukrainian civil war have had to use to maintain the destabilization of Ukraine they have spent billions of dollars on (as was stated by Victoria Nulan back in December 2013), seeking to constrain Russia (while expanding its own military activities at the latter's own borders).
Since the fall of the Soviet Union, Ukraine has been instrumentalized by the United States and NATO, along the very lines of Zbigniew Brzezinski's strategical outlook that it should be considered one of those so-called "pivotal states" up for grab (along with Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan), in order to especially serve Western interests in Eurasia. Primary function of such "states," therefore, in relationship to said interests:  keeping Russia off European limits and preventing it from become an empire again.
Surprisingly, Bishop Sanborn also passes over the occupation of the Donbass by the abovementioned Nazi forces of the Kiev regime and the ethnic cleansing they have been carrying out for years. Forgetting also to highlight the fact that the habitants of the Donbass are not just "Russian speakers," but Russians. Yet, this occupation and the crimes committed under its rule in Eastern Ukraine is one of the primary motives that have prompted the launch of the Russian operation at the end of February.
The most inaccurate premise of his analysis of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict is the suggestion that Putin is likely, if not certainly driven by an irrepressible desire to recreate the Soviet Union.
With all due respect, this is nonsense.
The objective, clearly expressed in Putin's speech outlining the history of Russia when he officially recognized the Donetsk People's Republic and the Luhansk People's Republic (Russian President Vladimir Putin recognizes regions of Donetsk and Luhansk as independent countries), is to bring together again the lands of the Kievan Rus' scattered in the wake of wars and other upheavals of Slavic history. It is not about some nostalgia of the Soviet Union seeking to finally bring it back. This view is in the heads of many Neocon as well as Leftist warmongers who understand very little about Russia, Putin, and the Russian people in Ukraine.
To conclude by suggesting that Russia has not yet paid the consequences of the 1917 Revolution is also strange and not quite accurate, in the light of what happened to the Soviet Union, the sufferings endured by the Russians for decades, and the civilizational stature of Russia today—by contrast with the LGBTQ+ degenerate Western world, promoting utterly dumb "wokism" on the one hand, but brutally pushing a unipolar agenda around the world, especially in Ukraine, on the other.
The self-induced bankruptcy and degeneracy of the warmongering unipolar West, is what will show it to be the ultimate expression of civilizational decline in this 21st century.
