Two bad ideas fiat currency with endless printing and inflation and crypto currency.

Human pride and greed will bring both crashing down.

Because if it was a good idea I would not have 12 shills a week contacting me to invest in it.

Prayerful

It is strongly suggested that Canadians with bitcoin holdings take it out of the popular exchanges and consider other options like a paper wallet), basically print outs of QR codes. The Canadian government can seize it.
Padre Pio: Pray, hope, and don't worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer.

It isn't Bitcoin's (or US$'s or gold's) fault that there are scammers.
The technology underlying Bitcoin and blockchain tech in general is ingenious.

Did investment advisors from India call up to sell shares in Apple or Amazon?  Did that ever happen?

It is a bubble.  You are too immature to see it.

Some anonymous guy creates a digital coin and it's price goes from 14cents to 60,000 dollars?  If it sounds insane, it is because it is insane.

Look at who buys it.  Millennials who think they have found the magic money tree.

You have to trust all sorts of unregulated fly by night people who have never had a proper job and can have it stolen from you by a person half way around the globe.

What does the Madoff story tell us.

1.  There are no magic money trees.  If someone is making a ton of money or grow in wealth then the mechanism is obvious to a 10 year old if the reason is legitemate.

2.  If it is too complex to be explained or understood where the value comes from it is a scam.

Tell that to the Fed, who is worse than usurers, profiting from the mere existence of printing more fiat.
Usury on the Bitcoin blockchain is impossible, do to there being no charge-backs.

The value (just like in any other currency) comes from what those using it attribute to it.

Nobody suggested the Fed's fiat scheme is a good idea, as a matter of fact the user you're arguing with denounced both crypto and fiat paper.
