You've never seen any TV show depicting any kind of sin? Or do you mean because of the occasion of sin? It wasn't an occasion of sin for me.

It was actually surprised at how the show depicted the homosexual relationship - furtive, potentially shocking, and potential for blackmail by one of the couple - the detestable Thomas. The show did not glorify the relationship.

If they're going for historical accuracy, instead of trying to force modern opinions onto the characters, then this makes sense. I didn't like how one episode dealt with a ouija board, though: even though such things were gaining popularity at the time, it's hard to believe that no one in the group would have seriously protested that such a thing was a sin (contrast with the episode of the original Upstairs, Downstairs dealing with spiritism: Rose's employer leaves her in no doubt that meddling with things like that is a sin, and recommends that she go and see the local vicar for help in her grief instead of attempting to contact the dead.).
My Lord and my God.

Yeah, considering the homosexual is possibly the biggest antagonist in the entire show, I don't think it was treated with kid gloves.

Also, the ouija board was protested by at least one person, no?  Everyone seemed wary.

At times, though, they seem to strive to place a modern mindset to them period folks.

I heard good things about this and recorded it at my parents' house but I am not sure when I'll ever get around to it.

Psych the Musical is hilarious.
In conclusion, I can leave you with no better advice than that given after every sermon by Msgr Vincent Giammarino, who was pastor of St Michael's Church in Atlantic City in the 1950s:

"My dear good people: Do what you have to do, When you're supposed to do it, The best way you can do it,   For the Love of God. Amen"
