Ha, been there.  There is no escape.
For a Child is born to us, and a son is given to us, and the government is upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called, Wonderful, Counsellor, God the Mighty, the Father of the world to come, the Prince of Peace

I found some episodes of Have Gun Will Travel on Youtube.  It was a 1950s Western series. Its underlying moral values are much closer to Catholicism than those of modern shows.

Excellent anime with wonderful discussion of virtues and moral values.
Beautiful artwork and appealing characters.
The plots revolve around a series of mysteries.
Great show for middle school or high school kids.

Yes, the artwork is beautiful.

I watched some episodes. I remember one where Chitanda Eru was discussing the seven deadly sins.

You finished it?

No, we're about halfway through.

Chitanda Eru, what a great model for girls. And during a later mystery plot arc, it turns out that she is an amazing cook as well.

Oh, and someone reminded me to point out that if you watch the anime, it's best to stop viewing as soon as the episode ends, because while the series is very innocent and has nothing immodest, the artwork during the ending credits can be considered objectionable.

Spider-Man The '67 Collection: 'The Power of Dr. Octopus'

Not really 'watching' it. Mostly hearing the music and dialogue while I organize goals for 2015 and doing stuff around the house. In a weird way, can actually focus with that old school jazz drum beat in the background.

Afterwards, a toss up between Charlton Heston's The Omega Man vs. Somewhere in Time with the late Christopher Reeve vs. an Ed Warren video over his ghost hunting oddities.

Paladin with Richard Boone. That was a great show. Very thoughtful for that time period. Do you remember Checkmate? With Sebastion Cabot?

I was born at the end of the 50s so this is my first time watching them.  I have not gotten to that one yet.
