The world is charged with the grandeur of God.
    It will flame out, like shining from shook foil;
    It gathers to a greatness, like the ooze of oil
Crushed. Why do men then now not reck his rod?
Generations have trod, have trod, have trod;
    And all is seared with trade; bleared, smeared with toil;
    And wears man's smudge and shares man's smell: the soil
Is bare now, nor can foot feel, being shod.

And for all this, nature is never spent;
    There lives the dearest freshness deep down things;
And though the last lights off the black West went
    Oh, morning, at the brown brink eastward, springs —
Because the Holy Ghost over the bent
    World broods with warm breast and with ah! bright wings.

I got half way through season 1 of Fargo. It was undeniably well done, but it was quite dark. I'm not sure if I am going to finish it. It wasn't that I didn't enjoy it. I did, very much so, but I'm not sure if it's suitable.

I felt the same way about House of Cards, as well, actually. I haven't watched the two newest seasons. Didn't he spit on a crucifix?
IF I speak with the tongues of men, and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

I've seen all four seasons of House of Cards. Very good. I don't recall Frank spitting on any crucifix. Though I'll admit my memory isn't what it used to be.
Both Fargos were excellent.

Last two seasons were garbage comparably to the first two.

Then again, I basically treated it as a radio drama most of the time.

Yes, he did. I remember my sister telling me that she immediately turned off Netflix and never watched House of Cards again, as it had disgusted her that much.

Now watching The Returned.

Just finished season 4 of House of Cards. I was watching Rescue Me but the blasphemy was too much so I stopped. I think I'll watch a couple episodes of Turn: Washington's Spies and see how that is.

That's terrible! I remember when Larry David urinated on a picture of Our Lord once, why do these people think this is entertaining? Hellions...

Seems like most modern TV shows are crap. Thank goodness for sports and TMC (Turner Movie Classics).
In conclusion, I can leave you with no better advice than that given after every sermon by Msgr Vincent Giammarino, who was pastor of St Michael's Church in Atlantic City in the 1950s:

    "My dear good people: Do what you have to do, When you're supposed to do it, The best way you can do it,   For the Love of God. Amen"

Because Christophobes are the scum of the earth. A pox upon all of them...
