This is aimed at me, right.

Then take your green ink, and your endless interventions after being absent for years, and the way you jump into discussions and close them down on a whim - and then do whatever you think is necessary to keep your forum going.

I've had enough.   You can keep things happy in Tradland.   But what use is that if you forget entirely how it looks to the rest of the world when Catholics say they would refuse the Last Rites from the man they insist is Pope.    What kind of message are you sending?

Now do me a huge favour.  Ban me for life.   Ban me or I'll start being as rude and insulting as you have been

Interesting that you didn't address or respond to any of the points I made.

As far as banning you for no reason, nah. I won't allow you to embrace victimhood and be a martyr in your own mind.

No worse a message as those who wish to constantly shout from the rooftop that there are only a relative handful of true Catholic priests worldwide, most Masses and Sacraments are invalid, and most Catholics worship bread.

lol, a false dichotomy.

Given my position that Francis has usurped the chair, It'd be Fr Altman if that's my only choice, but if I had a 3rd option I would also take Pope Benedict XVI.

Quote from: awkward customer on September 10, 2023, 09:41:01 AMBefore Christ comes again, St Paul explains that there will be a "revolt" and the "man of sin, the son of perdition" will be revealed.  St Paul also explains that "the one who holds" will be "taken out of the way".

Cardinal Manning identified the Pope as "the one who holds" and the Papacy as "that which witholdeth".  And I identify the "revolt" as Vatican II.

Maybe, but then what's your time limit on this? I'd agree with this, I just think you launched too soon, I consider Vatican II the smoke of satan entering the Church thus making all of this possible, I then consider Pope Benedict XVI as the valid Pontiff as the one who withholds, as now that he has passed and a usurper sits in the chair there is nothing stopping Francis and his cronies from radical reform now, which is when they'll show their true colors for all to see IMO.

So this Synod coming up will be very interesting IMO, now that Pope Benedict XVI has passed, they will feel very emboldened now.

Quote from: awkward customer on September 10, 2023, 09:41:01 AMAccordingly, "the one who holds" was "taken out of the way" in 1958 when Pope Pius XII - the last Pope ever - died.

What makes him the last Pope? The reasoning that a heretic can't be Pope and therefore they lose the Papacy is circular reasoning IMO and cannot hold water, furthermore, who is the final judge on that? If the Pope can't be a heretic, then this being possible in the first place is a logical contradiction.

Quote from: awkward customer on September 10, 2023, 09:41:01 AMEverything is being prepared for him and his NWO system.  All that's needed is a major crisis that will terrify the world's population and send them running to him.  It has been said that he will appear at a time of great crisis and terror and will preach universal love and peace.  A nuclear war, or threat of one, between the US and Russia would fit the bill, I think.

Possible.

Quote from: awkward customer on September 10, 2023, 09:41:01 AMThere's one possible explanation for your questions about Papal Succession.  It's over.  We're in the End Times.

I can't believe that it's been over for 60 years + and half a dozen Popes in succession.

Quote from: james03 on September 10, 2023, 06:38:01 PMWe'll say demon-possessed Cardinal Cupich was a cardinal during Pope St. Pius X's time, and he rebuked the Pope saying that his condemnations against modernism is against the new understanding of changing Tradition.  This would cause a schism, obviously.

Yes, but here is the keynote difference, when they split, the valid Pope is the highest authority on Earth, so the schismatics would not have legitimacy for the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church without a valid Pope.

Quote from: james03 on September 10, 2023, 06:38:01 PMSo if Vigano et. al. follow through and elect a new Pope, we'll get a schism.  Actually the schism is already here as a good chunk of Catholics don't believe Bergoglio is the Pope, and the majority of church going Catholics ignore his teachings.

Exactly! But here is the absolutely crucial difference, if they acknowledge Francis as having been validly elected, then they have no grounds to stand on and have no right to elect a new Pontiff, furthermore, if they think there has been no valid Pontiff since pre-Vatican II, they also have no legitimacy to lay claim because Papal Succession has continued and nobody disputes those elections themselves, only what they did or didn't do while on the Chair.

The only way it works IMO, is recognizing that Pope Benedict XVI was usurped just as Celestine V was, as the Chair was not free for Francis to be elected in the first place.

Quote from: awkward customer on September 13, 2023, 12:35:07 PMPS.  People who call Francis Pope but would refuse the Last Rites from him, or refuse to let him catechise their children, are doing harm to the Papacy.

I agree.

Quote from: awkward customer on September 13, 2023, 12:35:07 PMThey are telling the world that a Pope can't be trusted.  How the enemies of the Church must love it when they hear this.  Does that not bother cool Sedes like yourself?

Why would it bother a Sede? If he isn't the Pope, then no harm to the Papacy was done.

The only thing I diverge with in regards to Sedes, is that I just think they launched too soon, and as such, if a heretic can't be Pope, then it doesn't make sense to me to say that because they are a heretic they lose the Papacy, because it shouldn't be a possibility in the first place if the former is true.

In regards to Francis, I believe I have full grounds to say that regardless of whatever Francis has done, it doesn't matter because just like Boniface VIII, the Papacy was not free for them to be elected in the first place. The fact that Francis just happens to be a heretic is merely a perk, I personally think that this is the only way it can work.

It just means that X person who calls themselves Catholic believes this which doesn't quite add up IMO. It says that there must be some dodgy stuff going on with the Pope and the Vatican... which is a correct conclusion IMO even if the equation is faulty.

Quote from: awkward customer on September 13, 2023, 05:03:34 PMWhat kind of message are you sending?

Guilty by association? What's it to Bonaventure? Would anyone think him responsible for anything I write here? I know Bonaventure disagrees with me on various subjects, but I'm glad I can attempt to discuss it and hash it out with like minded people, hopefully in charity. I mean 'Benevacantism' (Whatever term they want to use) alone was enough to get me permanently banned from two previous forums, because I subscribe to this doesn't make Bonaventure responsible.

Well I hope you don't get banned and I don't think this is necessary, also take it from someone who has been permanently banned from 3 Catholic Forums, I never told them to ban me (as far as I can recall), I just said what I thought was true and if that got me banned then so be it, but I never gave them 'permission' to do so and I hold my head high on all counts (my stubborn nature, I yield to truth not force).

Although, the first ban I was tempted to at least commit the crime I was going to do the time for on my way out, but this thinking is a mistake and not what Christ did.

What an utterly obnoxious prat you are.  And a liar too.

I wanted moderation after being repeatedly accused of heresy, schism, and not being Catholic by the awful Julio.  You did nothing for ages and now you've decided to make your presence on the forum felt, disapproving of the way discussions are going and being rude.

And then you insult me in public and ask why I don't reply to your points.

Fuck you ....

And yesterday, Kaesekopf banned Andy for some innocuous comment.

Pathetic.

I enjoyed my discussions with you and as well with Julio, who I thought was also good value. So yea, moderation is a double edged sword IMO, it cuts both ways and the line is very difficult to draw, if Julio still reads this I can only imagine what he'd be thinking about now lol.

Furthermore, we are Catholics, haven't you ever been accused of worshiping Mary or idolatry before? If you're confident in your position what's it matter? If someone accuses me of worshipping Mary, I'm ready to roll, it's like an opportunity for me and I'm not offended, personally I think moderation is important for stuff like spamming and bad abuse/bullying but that it should be very rare and even this latter in regards to abuse/bullying can also be very subjective.

Anyway, it was good talking with you while it lasted, I think it's unfortunate about yourself and Julio and could've been easily avoided IMO.
