"A new recent shipments of Gas masks has turned up in syria for use by the Syrian foreign funded insurgency affiliated with AlCIAda. Perhaps in preparation for the planned false flag chemical weapons attack that will be used by NATo as a tool to get sanctions and interventions approved by the UN. And in the last 24 hours the Israeli ambassador to the UN repeated the accusations that the syrian govt would use chemical weapons against its own people, laying the ground work for the false flag event to take place. In this video we are told that the Syrian Girl's name is Mimi Al Laham.  She is a Sunni Muslim.  Assad was born to a family of Alawite background and has Shia Muslim supporters.  So the Syrian Girl does not have a bias agenda.  I believe what she is saying.

We condemn all use of chemical weapons.

U.S. sprayed Agent Orange during the Vietnam War.

But the U.S. used chemical weapons against civilians in Iraq in 2004. Evidence here, here, here, here, here, here.

Israeli also used white phosphorous in 2009 during "Operation Cast Lead" (and perhaps subsequently).  Israel ratified Protocol III of Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons ("Protocol III") – which outlaws the use of incendiary devices in war – in 2007. So this was a war crime.

Moreover, the 1925 Geneva Protocol (which is different from Protocol III) prohibits "the use in war of asphyxiating, poisonous or other gases".

The use of White phosphorus ("WP") may also be a war crime under other international treaties and domestic U.S. laws. For example, the Battle Book, published by the U.S. Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, contains the following sentence: "It is against the law of land warfare to employ WP against personnel targets."

The U.S. National Safety Council states that "White phosphorus is a poison . . . If its combustion occurs in a confined space, white phosphorus will remove the oxygen from the air and render the air unfit to support life . . . It is considered a dangerous disaster hazard because it emits highly toxic fumes. The EPA has listed white phosphorus as a Hazardous Air Pollutant.

Indeed, it is interesting to note that the U.S. previously called white phosphorous a chemical weapon when Saddam used it against the Kurds.  Interestingly, it has just come out that the U.S. encouraged Saddam's use of chemical weapons.

Moreover, the U.S. and Britain have been dropping depleted uranium in virtually every country they fight, which causes severe health problems. See this, this, this and this.

University of California at Irvine professor of Middle Eastern history Mark LeVine writes:

    Not only did the US aid the use of chemical weapons by the former Iraqi government, it also used chemical weapons on a large scale during its 1991 and 2003 invasions of Iraq, in the form of depleted-uranium (DU) ammunition.

    As Dahr Jamail's reporting for Al Jazeera has shown, the use of DU by the US and UK has very likely been the cause not only of many cases of Gulf War Syndrome suffered by Iraq war veterans, but also of thousands of instances of birth defects, cancer and other diseases – causing a "large-scale public health disaster" and the "highest rate of genetic damage in any population ever studied" – suffered by Iraqis in areas subjected to frequent and intense attacks by US and allied occupation forces.

And Israel has been accused of using depleted uranium in Syria.

Two wrongs don't make a right.  But it is hypocritical for the U.S., Britain and Israel to say that we should bomb Syria because the government allegedly used chemical weapons.

Note: The U.S. sprayed nearly 20,000,000 gallons of material containing chemical herbicides and defoliants mixed with jet fuel in Vietnam, eastern Laos and parts of Cambodia. Vietnam estimates 400,000 people were killed or maimed, and 500,000 children born with birth defects as a result of its use.   The Red Cross of Vietnam estimates that up to 1 million people are disabled or have health problems due to Agent Orange. But that was some 50 years ago.

NEW YORK – As the U.S. considers a response to what it calls a chemical weapon attack by Syria's Bashar al-Assad regime that killed hundreds of civilians, reliable Middle Eastern sources say they have evidence the culprits actually were the rebel forces trying to take over the government.

Secretary of State John Kerry accused the Assad government Monday of covering up the use of chemical weapons in "a cowardly crime" and a "moral obscenity" that shocked the world's conscience. Kerry claimed the Obama administration had "undeniable" evidence "that the Assad government was culpable in the use of chemical weapons on civilians" in the Aug. 21 attack in Damascus suburbs.

Reports that the Obama administration is considering a military strike against the Assad government continued to circulate Monday. Meanwhile, U.N. weapon inspectors in Syria were fired upon by snipers as they attempted to investigate the site of the Aug. 21 attack.

Assad has rejected charges that his government forces used chemical weapons as "preposterous" and "completely politicized," the Los Angeles Times reported.

He argues Syrian forces were in the targeted area.

"How is it possible that any country would use chemical weapons, or any weapons of mass destruction, in an area where its own forces are located?" Assad asked in the interview with Izvestia, according to a translation provided by Syria's official news agency and published by the Los Angeles Times.

"This is preposterous! These accusations are completely politicized and come on the back of the advances made by the Syrian Army against the terrorists."

Rebel attack?

With the assistance of former PLO member and native Arabic-speaker Walid Shoebat, WND has assembled evidence from various Middle Eastern sources that cast doubt on Obama administration claims the Assad government is responsible for last week's attack.

A video posted on YouTube, embedded below, shows Free Syrian Army, or FSA, rebel forces launching a Sarin gas attack on a Syrian village.

Another video posted on YouTube shows what appears to be Syrian rebel forces loading a canister of nerve gas on a rocket to fire presumably at civilians and possibly government forces.

As seen below, a screen capture from the video shows rebel civilian forces placing a suspicious blue canister on top of a rocket-launching device.

A separate YouTube video from Syrian television shows a government-captured arsenal of what appears to be nerve gas weapons seized from a rebel stronghold in Jobar, Syria.

The image below shows canisters in the seized rebel arsenal from Jobar that appear to resemble the canister launched by rebel forces in the first image above.

A report from the Russian Arabic-language channel RT Arabic shows captured rebel arsenals apparently with chemical agents manufactured in Saudi Arabia and gas masks, supporting Russian claims that the rebels are the culprits in the alleged chemical attack.

On Aug. 23, LiveLeak.com hosted an audio recording of a phone call broadcast on Syrian TV between a terrorist affiliated with the rebel civilian militia "Shuhada al-Bayada Battalion" in Homs, Syria, and his Saudi Arabian boss, identified as "Abulbasit." The phone call indicates rebel-affiliated terrorists in Syria, not the Assad government, launched the chemical weapons attack in Deir Ballba in the Homs, Syria, countryside.

The terrorist said his group, which comprises 200 terrorists escaped from al-Bayadah to al-Daar al-Kabera through a tunnel, needed to buy weapons to attack Homs.

The Saudi financier, who was in Cairo, asked the Syrian terrorists to give details about his group and how it will receive the money. The Saudi admitted his support to terrorists in Daraa and the Damascus countryside. The Syrian terrorist told him that one of the achievements of his "battalion" was the use of chemical weapons in Deir Ballba.

The recorded phone call disclosed the cooperation between two terrorist groups in Syria to bring two bottles of Sarin Gas from the Barzeh neighborhood in Damascus.

Russian media sources have consistently reported Syrian military have discovered rebel warehouses containing chemical weapons agents and have documented rebel chemical weapons attacks on the Syrian civilians the military.

A friend from Tennessee sent me this on Aug. 22nd.  I was able to watch the 4 videos on the page that shows that the Al-Qaeda and Muslim Brotherhood terrorist rebels had previously used chemical weapons.  But now youtube has deleted the 4 videos and terminated the person's account.

As one of the pages in this thread says, a US poll has found that 60% of Americans do not want to see the US attack Syria, with only 9% in favor.  Now is the time to call your congressman and start your anti-war protest.  Before it's too late.

The Russian Navy has denied that the dispatch of two warships to the eastern Mediterranean is linked to western military action against Syria, despite Interfax quoting a source in the armed forces' general staff who said the deployment was in response to the "well-known situation".

As part of plans to have five or six vessels stationed in the region, initial reports stated that Russia had sent an anti-submarine ship and a missile cruiser to waters near Syria because the crisis "required us to make some adjustments" in the naval force, according to Interfax.

However, within hours a Russian Naval spokesperson told RIA Novosti that the maneuvers were part of planned rotation and not linked to the worsening situation in Syria.

Who knows if any chemicals were even used by anyone? This entire episode is beyond a joke.

I did hear a bit of Obama's speech last night. At one moment he says our government has concluded that Assad has gassed his own people, and in almost the very next sentence, he uses words like "if it is true that Assad did this". So which is it?

Talk about amateur hour.

But let's go along with the narrative here just for the sake of argument. What is the difference how people die and why is WMD such a big boogie man that justifies intervention on our part? Would it be better if he lined them up against a wall and put a bullet in their brains? In the meantime how many of Khaddafi's people did we kill? How many innocent Iraqis and Afghans have we killed? What about all that depleted uranium?

The USA, this wonderful country that stands for abortion, war, and homosexuality is going to use "limited, so called precision strikes" to solve the problem?

As others have stated, why would someone who is winning, meaning Assad, use chemical weapons against civilians when he knows that is the precise action that will get him whacked? You may recall they claimed hundreds of children were slaughtered a couple of months ago and it turned out to be the rebels who did it. I can't believe how brainwashed the vast majority seem to be in this country.

And I actually believe the politicians and the media truly believe their own BS. They are salesmen after all. They exist to sell ideas to the public in order for their masters to conduct commerce that allows them to wet their beak in one way or another. These stories seem to become the "company line". And the men, and women, who work for the organization simply go into that mode. Some are duped and some, I think, dupe themselves until they too actually believe it on some level. Not much different, IMO, then any salesmen who has to believe in his product or service.

The USA appears to only be able to provide War Services and Looting Operations. Unlike Rome, who had to conquer land to attain resources like slave labor and treasure to keep their empire going, all we have to do is print a few trillion dollars and buy off leadership in countries. When that doesn't work, it is time to bomb or invade. So in other words, we take military action against those who can no longer be bought or who could never be bought with our usurious system.

Hang the bankers, politicians, and war mongers.

The thing that is disturbing is the war hawks in the GOP are opposing this action for the wrong reasons. They don't want just some cruise missile strikes. They want to go in and really get things done and you know...have a democracy. Other Republicans like Rand Paul oppose this for the right reason, because we have no business going to war with a nation that poses no threat to the USA.

Intel Sources: Obama Is Stalling On Syria Strike To Make Deals With Putin

Intel website DEBKAfile states that its sources in Washington and Moscow claim that Obama "has applied the brakes" on military strikes scheduled for Friday or Saturday while Secretary of State John Kerry completes secret negotiations with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

The site notes that the US wants to "strike a deal" with Vladimir Putin's government:

"The US would soften its military action against the Assad regime and his army and reduce it to a token blow," the report states, "after which the American and Russian presidents would announce the convening of Geneva-2 to hammer out a solution of the Syrian crisis and end the civil war."

The report notes that a delay in releasing a promised intelligence report to provide evidence of the Syrian government's culpability in chemical attacks, along with the President's declaration this morning that he hasn't made his mind up yet, are covers for the ongoing back channel deal brokering.
