Devotions you take for granted, but others might not know?

I was paging through some old posts and I noticed @diaduit posted about the 9 Aves for St Anne on Tuesdays.  I'd never heard of this devotion, but it seems really neat (especially for mothers).

What's a prayer or devotion you love that might not be well-known?  Or maybe you just want to talk about it?
Wie dein Sonntag, so dein Sterbetag.

I am not altogether on anybody's side, because nobody is altogether on my side.  ~Treebeard, LOTR

Jesus son of David, have mercy on me.

The Curt Jester

My family prays the prayer St. Rocco for preservation from diseases daily. We started when ye old Covid came and while I wasn't particularly concerned that the illness itself would be that threatening, I figured it wasn't wrong to pray to be preserved from it. We just decided to keep it going.  So far, we've dodged the bubonic plague.
The royal feast was done; the King
Sought some new sport to banish care,
And to his jester cried: "Sir Fool,
Kneel now, and make for us a prayer!"

The jester doffed his cap and bells,
And stood the mocking court before;
They could not see the bitter smile
Behind the painted grin he wore.

He bowed his head, and bent his knee
Upon the Monarch's silken stool;
His pleading voice arose: "O Lord,
Be merciful to me, a fool!"

Is St Rocco the same as St Roch?

Hopefully your saint is different than a certain moustachioed pizza maker, too...  :lol:

Our Lady, Undoer of Knots.

Particularly, this Novena:

This devotion to the Blessed Mother has saved my tail many, many times, from literal enemies laying in wait for my ruin, and other situations with seemingly no other end but destruction and failure.
Put not your trust in princes, in sons of men in whom there is no salvation. When his breath departs he returns to his earth; on that very day his plans perish.

A normie friend of mine who is NO swears he is still alive with this novena, he was sent home to die basically after finding he had cancer in shoulder, liver, prostate and spine.  He was given 3 months and that was 3 years ago this July.

DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET!

Now that I have your attention...

I'm huge on Novenas...I feel those 9 days really focus your prayer rather than the sporadic prayer I'm used to. Some big ones:

- 9 month Annunciation Novena (every day from the Annunciation until Christmas)
- 54 day Rosary Novena is huge
- St Francis Xavier Novena of Grace is particularly powerful

Our Lady of Sorrows to uncover "hidden knowledge" (generational spirits, etc) is particularly powerful.

7 Sundays to St Joseph

Little Office of the BVM

Auxilium Christianorum prayers for spiritual warfare

Akathists are cool too.
