I've lived in Russia and rarely seen them flying the Soviet flag.  I think you are making a mountain out of a molehill.  You are like the over-emotional loonies who worry about the Nazi flag being flown occasionally at historical re-enactments or fancy dress parties.

It is still on a few buildings (carved in the face of the building) where to take it down would wreck the façade.

A military parade on Red Square isn't a fancy dress party.  And your excuse about wrecking the facade of buildings is ridiculous.  But I suppose any excuse will do.  Next time you're in Russia, count how many Soviet symbols you can see.

Leaving a few hammer and sickle symbols on buildings is fine as far as I am concerned.  The Soviet Union collapsed but that is not to say it did not have some good achievements and it is part of Russian history.

If the Russians are happy with them on buildings for architectural reasons then I am happy too.  I am not particularly worried about symbols that nobody takes particularly seriously.  I judge a tree by its fruits not symbols.

I think you have it backwards, the Senate and People of Rome nearly killed Rome in the 1st Century B.C. It was the Empire that saved the Rome, and it lasted all the way to 1806.

I find it absurd that there are claims that Russia is an Asiatic nation which in my evaluation of their ethnicity and history is not true. The relativist reasoning of the West right now has evaporated anything that is ethical. Viewing from the fact that the Western Civilization in this epoch of our time is the influence of the world, many nations adopt this like South America, Asian nations like mine, and many from Africa other than the Muslims. Islam and the communist China together with its minions like North Korea need not be influence by that evil.

Just like they denied Obama spying on Trump, or the false accusation of Trump apparently inspiring violence at his rallies when they were the ones behind it, then when it came out this was true they just move on and ignore it... or that porn lawyer who was their hero etc etc.

So many people have obsessions with people they think have slighted them.

It reminds me of the following -

Luke 12:13-15

In the same way with insults and things of that nature, the same could be applied IMO, who made me a judge over such matters, if someone called me a derogatory name I would intend to prove them wrong by my character.

'yet do it with gentleness and reverence' I could work on that a little more, nevertheless, it is tough especially when dealing with todays realities given that people are being killed, on one hand I want to do so with gentleness and reverence, on the other hand I also must be firm to emphasize the seriousness of the situation.

Iraq was destroyed on a lie. Then they created ISIS and did the same with Syria, Libya etc and the same people with such a horrible track record and tremendous evil (Supporting ISIS through backdoor channels for plausible deniability) want to go for it one last time over Ukraine with Russia, which is no middle east nation, we are talking a Nuclear superpower, furthermore the western elites have embraced sodomy and all manner of debauchery which we know Our Lord will punish them for and that they can never win.

This too with a Russia who have been turning away from their communist past (Putin himself correctly mentioning those like Lenin and the Communist Party for the breakup of Russia and the present situation) and have embraced Orthodox Christianity which has sustained them for centuries and a Russia whom Our Lady of Fatima has entrusted to her Immaculate Heart (late which is why we had the Cold War and the spread of Communism) and thus Russia will not be defeated.

It has all the hallmarks for Napoleon's Invasion 2.0, which consequently Our Lady of Fatima also makes reference to with her "Like the King of France they will regret it".
