USA (RIP)

The USA just died.  Literally.  It had its noble foundations, and honored heroes.  It was the best Nation in the modern era.  A beacon of light to the oppressed and downtrodden.  At its end, it was President Trump who tried to save it, but in the end he could not.  As of January 6th, 2020, the Unites States of America has finally been destroyed.  God has punished us.  It does not exist anymore, except in the hearts and lives of patriotic Americans who still love the land of their birth.  It has been replaced with a Communist Banana Republic headed over by the Democratic Party (the Party) and the globalist elites.  We must never forget that the Democrats orchestrated this, but in the end the Republican Party (which could have prevented this) allowed it.  The best we can hope for, perhaps generations from now--politically--is to one day found another Union which honors the kingship of Christ.  We are angry and have reached our wits end.  But right now is a time to mourn, and remember what the Republic once was.

A house built on sand  was destined to crumble; we mourn the passing of our country; but we have to recognize that it was never the nation that it should have been.
"The World Must Conform to Our Lord and not He to it." Rev. Dennis Fahey CSSP

"My brothers, all of you, if you are condemned to see the triumph of evil, never applaud it. Never say to evil: you are good; to decadence: you are progess; to death: you are life. Sanctify yourselves in the times wherein God has placed you; bewail the evils and the disorders which God tolerates; oppose them with the energy of your works and your efforts, your life uncontaminated by error, free from being led astray, in such a way that having lived here below, united with the Spirit of the Lord, you will be admitted to be made but one with Him forever and ever: But he who is joined to the Lord is one in spirit." Cardinal Pie of Potiers

I agree, we need a Catholic Confessional State married to the brilliant legally enshrined subsidiarity and limited government in the Constitution for a future State.

However, it is a far worse catastrophe to have countries built on the rock of Christ crumble, like Quebec, Latin America, and Europe.  The US was never Catholic so perhaps our guilt is less.

Yes, and let us remember all those missionary priests, many killed, who labored to bring Christ and His Church to America, who labored with Spanish, French, Irish (etc) Catholic laity to try and make this a Catholic Nation.  At least we can still visit those beautiful old churches and cathedrals they built as a monument of that ideal (until the commies shut them down).  USA, may she rest in peace.

Well I remain an American and believe God can keep her alive not in fraudulently elected politicians but in the few good ones and multitudes who voted for them.

Americans who are so discouraged now don't need to told to just despair. They need to pray to fight with courage and prudence and to suffer bravely.

America has never been Catholic and America is not well.  Maybe it has a brain tumor.   But I'm not accepting  christulsa's verdict that America is dead.

Maybe james is right about an ideal Catholic future but America has to continue to live and pray to grow into it.

God bless America!
[Matthew 8:26]  And Jesus saith to them: Why are you fearful, O ye of little faith? Then rising up he commanded the winds, and the sea, and there came a great calm.

[Job  38:1-5]  Then the Lord answered Job out of a whirlwind, and said: [2] Who is this that wrappeth up sentences in unskillful words? [3] Gird up thy loins like a man: I will ask thee, and answer thou me. [4] Where wast thou when I laid up the foundations of the earth? tell me if thou hast understanding. [5] Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

Jesus, Mary, I love Thee! Save souls!

Non nobis does this with everyone.  She's quirky that way.

Chris can speak for himself, but I believe he would distinguish between America and Americans.  America is indeed dead.  Americans will fight on.  If we have an ideal Catholic future, it will be in a rump America, likely in the Plains.

They got away with voter fraud with Trump as President.  Now with Doug Emhoff as President, there's no way this gets fixed.  We are now like Mexico with the PRI.  A one party leftist authoritarian State.  That's not America and it can't be reformed.  Either it blows up or there is secession.

Any chance of Texas breaking away now? They put up the most spirited legal fight.

I love my country but I hate my government.

Americans are very generous; maybe to generous.

If America had been found on a Swiss type of confederation instead of a centralized Hamiltonian republican form of government we would still be prosperous and free. Now alas most of us are debt serfs soon to be enslaved by a monster from hell.

Non nobis, you are a very thoughtful person in an intellectual way.  You run into danger on this.

Lauremar wouldn't consider the possibility that God was chastising us and dutifully said her battle rosary.  A noble exercise that will likely be rewarded in heaven, but when it failed, she is now saying whacked stuff like maybe abortion is ok in some instances.

Many people refuse to accept that Bergoglio is an heretic.  That is their right, except I keep seeing them lose the Faith.

And you, if you don't accept reality, you won't be prepared for what is coming.  Step 1, assume your standard of living will be cut in half.  This will prepare you.  Step 2, accept that hatred of Christ is now enshrined in our government.  Step 3, accept that only a miracle can prevent the coming persecutions.  Prepare.  We have time, but the clock is ticking.

Pre-Sonderbund War Switzerland was even better.  Probably the best government second only to the original Israel government set up by God Himself (only central government were judges).

Possible.  The Revolution would have to move too quickly, like going after guns in a draconian way.  Texas is probably the best candidate for secession, and if they went, draw a line up to North Dakota and those States would follow. Kansas is a bit iffy.  Problem with Texas is demographics.  47% voted for Beto O'rourke remember, and Californicators are flooding the place.

You said "USA may she rest in peace".  Was it so terribly unreasonable of me to think USA meant the same as America (what is commonly called America, in common usage) In all real honesty that is all I was thinking.

Or are you thinking of America being broke into multiple states/countries?
[Matthew 8:26]  And Jesus saith to them: Why are you fearful, O ye of little faith? Then rising up he commanded the winds, and the sea, and there came a great calm.

She means well.  I think.  Kind of reminds me of my wife, a "guardian protector" according to her Myers-Briggs.

The United States of America, the formal Nation-State by that name, that Union of states preserved by the Presidency, Congress, and Supreme Court, based on the Constitution, is DEAD.  Despite a few good men remaining in DC (Senator Tom Cruz, who I used to not like the way he ran against Trump in 2016, is one of them, a hero in my book).

Here is an analogy from history.  The moment a Monarchy as it was in France or Russia is overthrown by a radical revolution that is fundamentally anti-monarchy, then it ceases to be a Monarchy.  By comparison, the moment a democratic Republic like the USA is overthrown by a radical revolution of Radical Leftists, Socialists, and Communists, by means of a political COUP, based on a common Ideology that is fundamentally against the founding principles of the Founding Fathers, then at that moment (formally yesterday 1/6/2020, a date that will live in infamy) it ceases to be a democratic Republic.

It is only the "USA" nominally, which makes the new government going forward a new formal Nation-State.  Call it the Communists States of America, or the Banana Republic States of America.  It is no longer the United States of America.

But America still exists as a People, ie a common religious heritage, customs, language, philosophy of government, as represented by "Americans" as James said, where true Americans, by and large live in a) the South, b) the central plains states, c) the Rocky mountain states.   The West Coast and East Coast are the Communists States of America.  But really anyone in this country, in particular outside of major urban centers, who are social conservatives that believe in the original foundations, are Americans.

I'm no geopolitical expert, but it seems to me we need to focus on secession movements in key states like Texas, in the long term, with the goal one day of a new Union.  I'm told Oklahoma would likely follow if Texas seceded.  Grassroots Americans rebuilding a new nation, but rejecting the new Banana Republic outright.  THAT, Non nobis, would be a cause for HOPE.
