I bought this huge 9.25" doll head last night. I thought it was a grown up lady doll, but the experts tell me that it's a child. This is the biggest doll head I've ever come across. She dates from the 1860s. I'll be making her a complete body, including arms and legs. Might sew her an outfit, too, if I have time. She has a repaired shoulder just like my other doll, so I got her fairly cheap. That doesn't bother me at all since it won't show with clothes on.

Well this doll head broke apart in my hands along the old repair line, so now I have to repair it again, with epoxy clay.

The repair turned out fantastic. Only problem is that now the head is considerably heavier, due to the weight of the apoxie sculpt clay.

All finished. I'm so pleased with how she turned out.
