just pulled the trigger on the ZT 350.

The steel is quite nice. It is one I'd use if it were on the knife I wanted.

I never owned an SpeedSafe ZT, but I have had a few SpeedSafe Kershaws. They are very functional.

QuoteI can always sell it if I don't like it.

Check W&W return and exchange policy first.

I gave one of those as a gift before, with custom engraving.

They are great tools. But I would never carry one myself.

I almost bought a Case today, but nobody was at the counter and I couldn't find anybody in the store in the area.

@Bernadette that is pretty cool. Infidel is a wicked knife, I'll never have one cause I live in Canada.
His pseudonym was Merlin. He was quite well known in the knife world.

He retired 10-11 years ago, didn't it? I heard about it.

I personally do not use automatics, but they are very cool.

Yes, and he died in 2015. We still have a few of his knives.

I have an ever-growing collection of knives, almost all for wood carving. I bought a new chip carving knife recently and I'm very pleased with its performance (to say nothing of how beautiful I think it is).

Wow, that really is beautiful?  How long did it take you to get to that level of skill?

Thanks, Jayne! I've been chip carving for a month now, but I have no particular talent. I think it's actually a very approachable carving technique for most people and doesn't take very long to become somewhat proficient. At least, that is my impression.

That's amazing. How did you learn how to do it?  Did you take classes?

Thank you! I learned mostly from Youtube. Surprisingly, wood carving seems to have a fairly active community on social media and most people are happy to share what they know for free.

I like old carbon steel pocket knives. Easy to sharpen.
