I have this old Chaplet. Not sure what it is. Any idea ?

"From the moment we awake in the morning, let us pray continually in the words of holy David: Turn away my eyes, that they may not behold vanity"
St Alphonsus

"I will set my face against you, and you shall fall down before your enemies, and shall be made subject to them that hate you, you shall flee when no man pursueth you"
Leviticus 26:17

"Behold, O God our protector : and look upon the face of Thy Christ" (Ps. 79:20) Here is devotion to the face of Jesus Christ as prophesized by David."
Fr. Lawrence Daniel Carney III

I would have said with 13 sets of beads, it might be the Chaplet of St Anthony of Padua but the figure on the medal looks like a woman.
In conclusion, I can leave you with no better advice than that given after every sermon by Msgr Vincent Giammarino, who was pastor of St Michael's Church in Atlantic City in the 1950s:

"My dear good people: Do what you have to do, When you're supposed to do it, The best way you can do it,   For the Love of God. Amen"

The centerpiece medal is a standard Rosary one, but that is indeed the Chaplet of St. Anthony (as he is shown on the crucifix w/ the baby Jesus).

It is made in two ways: 3x13 beads and 1x13 beads (prayed 3 times).

So... the question now remains: Did you find it? :D

Thank you !

It was in a box of Catholic medals, prayer cards, etc. that belonged to my father. I'm pretty sure it was my grandmother's or one of my great grandparents'.

The angel threw me off a bit. Looks like a guardian angel.

It will get used daily now that I know the proper prayers. St Anthony is my Confirmation Saint.

Why does this not surprise me?  St. Anthony works like this in my life, as well..... helping me find things I don't even realize need finding!  He's one of my absolute favorite saints.  I also recognized the chaplet when you posted it, because years ago, my mother gave me a similar one that belonged to my grandmother.  Lynne and Gardener just beat me to the punch.  It had pretty black beads, and a nice weight to it.  I was going to learn to pray the chaplet, but (irony of ironies), I lost it .  I've no doubt I'll find it, because St. Anthony has never once failed me, but he does make me wait longer sometimes ;)
