G & S indeed, friends! I write to you from that wasteland known as Los Angeles. You may know me from other forums and under other names; for example, one that roughly rhymes with Hitbring, another involving the initials JKE.

I also post in the comboxes at Rorate Caeli under many different names. They usually end with an "o." For example, Sarto, Clario, Skeptico, Nauseo, Barfo, Canonico, Inquirio, Observio, Placido, Recommendio, and Wonderfullo. I've also posted there under the names Bookworm and SisterEarthyHermeneutica. And many others.

Often indeed, alas, they won't let my posts through at RC. This happens when I ask for precision about what they mean by "tradition-minded" Catholics as opposed to traditional Catholics. They refuse to address this. Nor will they post any comments at all against the Orwellianism of newspeak such as "Extraordinary Form," "mutual enrichment," or "hermeneutic of continuity." Now that I think about it they didn't let my SisterEarthyHermeneutica post go through either.  :'(

In addition to getting banned at Catholic Answers (of course!), I've managed the amazing feat of getting banned at both FE and that cesspool known as Cathinfo; at the former for being too harsh, at the latter for defending Bp. Fellay against the stampeding horde there. But perhaps it's not so amazing? Some of you too have been banned at both? Could be. At any rate, I shall try my best to remain in good standing here.

Oh, I just remembered that, if you wish, you can visit my friend's fledgling blog and read a recent little essay of mine:

I bid you cheers!

"Nothing is more miserable than those people who never failed to attack their own salvation. When there was need to observe the Law, they trampled it under foot. Now that the Law has ceased to bind, they obstinately strive to observe it. What could be more pitiable that those who provoke God not only by transgressing the Law but also by keeping it? But at any rate the Jews say that they, too, adore God. God forbid that I say that. No Jew adores God! Who say so? The Son of God say so. For he said: "If you were to know my Father, you would also know me. But you neither know me nor do you know my Father". Could I produce a witness more trustworthy than the Son of God?"  St. John Chrysostom  Sunday Homily

This day was bound to come, and I anticipated it eagerly.  Now I don't know what to do with myself.
Ps 135

For he was mindful of us in our affliction: * for his mercy endureth for ever.
And he redeemed us from our enemies: * for his mercy endureth for ever.
Who giveth food to all flesh: * for his mercy endureth for ever.
Give glory to the God of heaven: * for his mercy endureth for ever.
Give glory to the Lord of lords: * for his mercy endureth for ever.

Hey Mr. Muliebrity!

Yes! One of my favorite words. I'm pleased to have introduced this wonderful little word to so many in this Oprahist age.
