I've seen his name mentioned on here. Over in the old rectory in my parish there are quite a lot of old books including Christian Perfection and Contemplation by Garrigou-Lagrange.

Is that one the one often mentioned ?

Depends what aspect of theology is being considered. A work of his that gets mentioned a lot is The Three Ages of the Interior Life. His "Contemplation and Christian Perfection" is a summary of the two volume "The Three Ages of the Interior Life". Both are excellent, but the second is a bit of a brick at times.
