How do I access downloaded files on my Fire tablet?

I've looked in all the folders when it's connected to my computer, and I can't find these downloads anywhere. I'm trying to get them onto my computer to convert them to a different format. Also, I've been getting messages in my kindle app, whenever I download a PDF, that the file can't be read by the kindle app. How do I fix this? Thanks everyone!

Never mind, I found them using Calibre.
