I think Francis is the Pope who flees the Vatican.  Pipelines blowing up, USA has gone completely nuts, Europe is going down, economically and will erupt into violence.  Rome is going to be destroyed, and soon.

Might want to back up the forum to several places incase a solar flare destroys server farms based in the USA.

Our thoughts might be valuable to Catholic historians in the future. Or give them a bloody good giggle.

I think we're hosted out of Canada, for better or worse...

Funnily enough, this is why I pick up old books that are Catholic that others don't want and hold onto them.

Francis dies in Rome being chummy with the revolutionaries. Takes one to know one.

Benedict is the one that flees and dies in misery. At least that is the way I see it.

Then the third secret vision as released in June 2000 is BS.  Benedict is not walking anywhere, halting step or otherwise.  He is chair bound.

I do think that was part of the vision, just not the explanation from Our Lady like the rest of the secrets.

The point is that Benedict cannot be the Pope who flees on foot.  He cannot walk.

Again, so is Francis.  I don't know what others call "walking," but when Francis moves from his chair, it is a toddler's shuffle -- only painful, not eager like a toddler's shuffle.

Justin Martyr

Good point, neither of them are in any condition to run.

Clearly we need a fit young Pope in order for the Third Secret to come true soon. Therefore, Suscipe Domine should organize a conclave with all posters as electors, so that we can elect a new Pope to rectify this. Salus Animarum Suprema Lex Esto.

St. Photios the Great, Encyclical to the Eastern Patriarchs

CANON I: As for all persons who dare to violate the definition of the holy and great Synod convened in Nicaea in the presence of Eusebeia, the consort of the most God-beloved Emperor Constantine, concerning the holy festival of the soterial Pascha, we decree that they be excluded from Communion and be outcasts from the Church if they persist more captiously in objecting to the decisions that have been made as most fitting in regard thereto; and let these things be said with reference to laymen. But if any of the person occupying prominent positions in the Church, such as a Bishop, or a Presbyter, or a Deacon, after the adoption of this definition, should dare to insist upon having his own way, to the perversion of the laity, and to the disturbance of the church, and upon celebrating Pascha along with the Jews, the holy Synod has hence judged that person to be an alien to the Church, on the ground that he has not only become guilty of sin by himself, but has also been the cause of corruption and perversion among the multitude. Accordingly, it not only deposes such persons from the liturgy, but also those who dare to commune with them after their deposition. Moreover, those who have been deposed are to be deprived of the external honor too of which the holy Canon and God's priesthood have partaken.

It takes a while to become a Cardinal, meaning that few of them are young, and probably those that qualify as "young" are full-on Novus Ordo.

I've been told by a French traditionalist priest that of the current candidates, only Sarah stands a chance among those not super-modernist, and Sarah is 77.

Never underestimate the magic of Simony and Nepotism. We've had a 13 year old Pope before.
