It has been over two years since thread was last bumped to the top, which shows greater negligence by me than anything else.  In hopes of rectifying this, and in hopes of making this a better, more Catholic forum (than it already is), I will be renewing the consecration of the forum this coming (First) Friday, October 7th.  I ask that anyone who reads this will join me in prayer and in renewing the consecration.

QuoteMost sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us humbly prostrate before Thine altar [if not in a church, replace "before Thine altar" with "in Thy presence"]. We are Thine, and Thine we wish to be; but, to be more surely united with Thee, behold each one of us freely consecrates himself today to Thy most Sacred Heart.
Many indeed have never known Thee; many too, despising Thy precepts, have rejected Thee. Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Thy sacred Heart. Be Thou King, O Lord, not only of the faithful who have never forsaken Thee, but also of the prodigal children who have abandoned Thee; grant that they may quickly return to Thy Father's house lest they die of wretchedness and hunger.
Be Thou King of those who are deceived by erroneous opinions, or whom discord keeps aloof, and call them back to the harbor of truth and unity of faith, so that there may be but one flock and one Shepherd.
Be Thou King of all those who are still involved in the darkness of idolatry or of Islamism, and refuse not to draw them into the light and kingdom of God. Turn Thine eyes of mercy towards the children of the race, once Thy chosen people: of old they called down upon themselves the Blood of the Savior; may it now descend upon them a laver of redemption and of life.
Grant, O Lord, to Thy Church assurance of freedom and immunity from harm; give peace and order to all nations, and make the earth resound from pole to pole with one cry: "Praise be to the divine Heart that wrought our salvation; to it be glory and honor for ever." Amen.

In addition to the renewal, considering that this coming Friday is also the feast of the Most Holy Rosary, I ask that you also pray this prayer for the intentions and protection of the forum:

QuoteQueen of the most holy Rosary, in these times of brazen impiety, show thy power with the signs of thy former victories, and, from thy throne, from which thou bestowest pardon and graces, mercifully look upon the Church of thy Son, His Vicar on earth, and every order of clergy and laity, who are sorely oppressed in this mighty conflict. Powerful vanquisher of all heresies, hasten the hour of mercy, even though the hour of God's justice is every day provoked by the countless sins of men. For me, who am the least of men, kneeling before thee in prayer, obtain the grace I need to live a holy life upon earth and to reign among the just in heaven.  Meanwhile, together with all faithful Christians throughout the world, I greet thee and acclaim thee as the Queen of the most holy Rosary: Queen of the most holy Rosary, pray for us.  (indulgence of 500 days; Raccolta no. 399)

Thank you.

In conclusion, I can leave you with no better advice than that given after every sermon by Msgr Vincent Giammarino, who was pastor of St Michael's Church in Atlantic City in the 1950s:

Thank you Kaesekopf!

I used "sendrecurring.com" to email myself a reminder on Friday.
[Matthew 8:26]  And Jesus saith to them: Why are you fearful, O ye of little faith? Then rising up he commanded the winds, and the sea, and there came a great calm.

[Job  38:1-5]  Then the Lord answered Job out of a whirlwind, and said: [2] Who is this that wrappeth up sentences in unskillful words? [3] Gird up thy loins like a man: I will ask thee, and answer thou me. [4] Where wast thou when I laid up the foundations of the earth? tell me if thou hast understanding. [5] Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

Jesus, Mary, I love Thee! Save souls!

I set a calendar event on my gmail calendar when I want to remind myself of something.

It can email you and text you.

"My brothers, all of you, if you are condemned to see the triumph of evil, never applaud it. Never say to evil: you are good; to decadence: you are progess; to death: you are life. Sanctify yourselves in the times wherein God has placed you; bewail the evils and the disorders which God tolerates; oppose them with the energy of your works and your efforts, your life uncontaminated by error, free from being led astray, in such a way that having lived here below, united with the Spirit of the Lord, you will be admitted to be made but one with Him forever and ever: But he who is joined to the Lord is one in spirit."
