A couple of weeks I attended a lecture on Purgatory given by my spiritual director; not fun, per se, but a very compelling and interesting aspect of the Faith to learn about.

its my birthday . my son gave me a basket full of paper snow flakes with glitter all over them and my wife is taking me to see the tallis scholars

As in the British ones? Wow, that would have been good. I saw them in Guildford cathedral when I was about 17 and the concert was pretty good, but when they split into two choirs to sing Allegri's Miserere, it took things to a whole new level.

Just got back from a Christmas party that most of my friends were at. It was great to see them all at once, especially since I rarely see most of those particular friends at all during the rest of the year.
